Wake up slowly in the treetops, pour a coffee, and watch morning light drift toward Lake Superior. You will catch lake views from the deck and the living room, sleep deeply in king beds, then head ten minutes to Lutsen Mountain for the day. Come home to a game room where kids chase arcade games and grown-ups trash-talk over ping pong, then finish the night around the fire pit. Everyone fits, and nobody feels crowded.



ABOUT THIS SPACE

Treetops sits up on Leveaux Mountain in Tofte, and the whole cabin is built around one idea: a big group should feel close, not crowded. With more than 2,200 square feet and an open floor plan, the living room, dining table and kitchen flow together, so whoever is cooking is still part of the conversation.



The living level (upstairs)

- Living room with large windows that frame the treetops and the lake beyond. It is the spot for stories about the day.

- Dining table with room for family meals, open to the living room.

- A well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, stove, oven, toaster and hot water kettle, plus a coffee bar nook where the first cup of the morning happens. Grab a cup and step out onto the deck.

- Primary bedroom with a king bed, big windows and deck access, so you can sit outside with the sunrise.

- Full bathroom off the living room.

- Two decks, an outdoor dining area, outdoor furniture and a BBQ grill for long summer evenings.



The lower level (downstairs)

- Two more bedrooms, each with a king bed. Both have ceiling fans and USB chargers. A Nest thermostat helps you set the temperature.

- A second full bathroom with a shower-tub combo.

- A family room with a TV, shelves of books and board games, a mini Pac-Man arcade sized for little hands, and a cozy kids' play nook where adults can relax nearby.

- The fire pit is just outside the basement door, ready for s'mores and cool night air.

- There is also a queen-sized sleeper sofa, which helps the cabin sleep 10 comfortably.



The garage game room

Our finished, climate-controlled garage is the reason so many families choose Treetops. Play ping pong or foosball, spread out a card game at the game table, watch a game on the TV, or challenge the crew on six arcade games. It stays comfortable in every season, a gift on a rainy day.



For little ones

Two pack-n-plays, a high chair, children's dinnerware, kids' books and toys are here. 1 Gig mesh WiFi covers the house when someone needs to check in with work.



LOCATION & WHAT'S NEARBY

Tofte is the middle of the North Shore, which puts an outdoor adventure in every direction. Drive times from the cabin:

- Gitchi Gami paved bike trail: 2 minutes. More than 14 miles connecting Schroeder, Tofte and Lutsen.

- Temperance River State Park: 8 minutes. A rushing gorge and a bridge over the canyon.

- Superior National Golf Course at Lutsen: 8 minutes.

- Lutsen Mountain: 10 minutes. Four peaks, 95 runs and 1,000 acres overlooking Lake Superior, with a gondola in summer and fall.

- Superior Hiking Trail: 10 minutes. Several access points for day hikes.

- Cascade River State Park: 20 minutes.

- Grand Marais: 30 minutes, named "America's Best Small Lake Town" by Travel & Leisure.

- Tettegouche State Park: 31 minutes.

- George H. Crosby Manitou State Park: 34 minutes.

- Fall colors and hiking weekends: Ride the gondola, hike Oberg Mountain and the Superior Hiking Trail, and come back to a home base with room to spread out.

- Reunions and milestone trips: Plenty of room for grandparents, cousins and everyone in between.



GUEST ACCESS

This is a private home, and you will have the whole cabin to yourselves: both levels, the garage game room, the decks, the backyard and the fire pit. Check-in is self check-in with a smart lock. We send your check-in information and access code 3 days before your stay, so you can arrive on your own schedule after 4:00 PM. If you have questions on the way, message us. We usually respond within an hour.



PARKING

Free parking is available on the property, with room in the driveway for up to 6 cars. Winter note: Treetops sits on Leveaux Mountain and the driveway is steep. From November to April, an AWD or 4WD vehicle is required. We plow once snowfall reaches 3 inches, but we are not able to arrange roadside help, so please plan ahead and check the forecast before you go.



HOUSE RULES

We want everyone to relax and have a great stay. A few simple guidelines keep it that way.

- Check-in is after 4:00 PM and checkout is before 10:00 AM.

- The cabin welcomes up to 10 guests.

- Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are in the home. Please leave them in place and let us know if one needs attention.

- No pets, please.

- No parties or events.

- No smoking.

- You are welcome to enjoy the fire pit. Please keep fires attended and make sure they are out before bed.

- Please treat the home as you would your own.
