“Good stay”

“Spotlessly clean room. Friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts. Bed extremely comfortable, Breakfast very good choice and tasty. If we have one criticism it’s that the room was small and the bathroom large but we understand the hosts will be rectifying that.”

“Excellent friendly hotel. Ample parking, clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant excellent. Owners are very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. There was a minor set back with checking in. Check in from 4 but door locked. It was a little frustrating as I’d been working all day but wasn’t waiting too long. Hopefully was a one off as I will be surely checking in again when I’m in the area. ”

“Lovely overnight winter stay. Hotel and rooms are spotless. Comfy bed with quality bedding, everything felt of good quality. Excellent shower and modern bathroom. We chose the Black Lion as we prefer to stay and eat in establishments that do not allow dogs and there aren't many now ( I know some people would disagree and want to take their dogs everywhere but we all need a place we can feel comfortable in and every other venue in town seems to accept dogs now so dog owners have plenty of...

“We stayed in a family room for two nights and overall had a good stay. The room was comfortable with nice view, but housekeeping needs improvement. There were sweets left from the previous guest on arrival, the toilet had a bad smell with no refresher, and the toilet tissue was partially used and not properly replenished we ran out on the last day and eventually gave up calling reception. “Well maintained basic room in Aberporth a few minutes walk from the park and beaches. Clean, nicely decorated row of rooms on top of a coffee shop, easy free parking in back. Kettle and small kitchen part but not fully equipped for cooking. Several restaurants around but kitchens seem to close at 8 pm, small convenience store just down the street. As in many hotels in the UK, floor was carpeted. Would have been nice with a fan as it was quite warm.”

“We absolutely loved our stay at Fern cottage. Such a beautiful cottage and very comfortable. The beach was just around the corner a minutes walk away. We would definitely stay again. ”

“Kitchen was stocked with bread, butter, milk and jam, which was lovely but there was NO tea or coffee. However, given how dirty some of the mugs were, that probably wasn't a bad thing. There were also dirty trays left in the oven and drawer. Rest of cottage was clean thankfully. However, frustrating as limited power points, and no shaver socket in bathroom for toothbrush.
