"Platzl Hotel is in a beautiful location, close to both the old town areas and Marienplatz as well as the fancy area around the Max-Joseph Platz. The immediate surrounding area is packed with food and drink options including the world famous Hofbräuhaus.
The hotel as such is a small affair built in a classic Bavarian style, maybe the most authentic luxury style hotel we’ve been to. Really, nothing in this hotel tries to be generic and international like the big hotel brands.
Breakfast is great, solid German style. The most international thing we found was hoummus. Lactose free options were good, but if you’re into vegan options, such seemed not to be a thing.
Sleep quality was excellent.
All in all, a very solid hotel."
