"In general we had a great stay. We took half board option (breakfast and dinner) and spent 10 nights here. ++++ Food was great! Good quality and good variety. it should be remembered that it is a buffet, so not everything will be seasoned or cooked exactly how you like it. The food does however rotate on a 7 day itinerary. Rooms were nice, clean and spacious. Cleaning everyday. Pools and amenities were good. Two smaller pools split up, with two jacuzzis (not warmer than the pool). Nice bar/lunch restaurant by the pool. Gym is OK, no free weights. Location, San Agustin is a bit calmer. Not too many restaurants in the area. Beach walk is nice and relaxing. Good mini markets around the area and its easy to take the buss anywhere, even from the airport for 3,5 euro/person. ----- Not all personal working is very nice. Some do not even speak if they really do not have to. If you are not all inclusive, you do not have access to a water fountain. You can of course purchase water bottles from the hotel (or mini market, which is better). According to Google San Agustins tap water is drinkable, makes you wonder why the hotel does not install a few water fountains. During lunch and dinner the turn off the one in thats on during breakfast, so you have to order bottled water. Beds are missing a top madrass so they are a bit hard. Due to these points, our stay gets an overall 4/5 stars. Would still recommend."

"The staff was 5/5, very kind and helpful. This include everyone from receptionists, cleaning staff to breakfast personel. Breakfast was also excellent. Food was always fresh and good. The only issue was the layout, with different food stations very spread out. The only down-side imho were the rooms. They were very old-fashioned, and could use a modernization. But then again, I guess that would increase the price a lot."
