“We choose between Tortuguero and Maquenque, and having been to lodges in Tortuguero before we choose the latter. Very satisfied, thought it was a completely different experience from the very touristy Tortuguero. “These guys take care of everything. Make sure you book the ocean front with the plunge pool. Not all bugaloos have pools. The hotel pool is gorgeous too and the entire island is a photo op. Gorgeous. Snorkeling is decent. 2 big Nurse sharks and a stingray. Lots of tropical fish. Beach is gorgeous food is great! Definitely plan to return soon.”
