Impeccabile l'accoglienza e la cortesia del personale, condita dallo speciale calore e savoir-faire triestino. Hanno notato che un'ospite avrebbe compiuto gli anni durante il soggiorno e hanno avuto delle premure molto apprezzate. Stanza spaziosa, silenziosa e pulita nel pieno centro di Trieste, vicino a negozi, caffè storici e ristoranti. Avendone l'occasione, tornerei molto volentieri.

Für ein Hotel der Hilton-Familie und zu diesem Preis nicht gut bzw. nicht gut genug: Das Gebäude an sich ist protzig und beeindruckend, aber die allermeisten Zimmer sind nichts Besonderes: eher dunkle ZImmer mit kleinen Fenstern zum Innenhof, klassische Business-Einrichtung, harte Betten (immerhin: Nach der ersten durchwachten Nacht haben wir einen sog. Topper aufs Bett bekommen, das hat das Bett etwas weicher gemacht.). Das Frühstück nahm man in einem überfüllten Nebenraum mit Kantine-Atmosphäre, das Frühstücksangebot war ebenfalls recht durchschnittlich... Und die Parksituation ist ein Abenteuer - das gilt aber wohl für die ganze Innenstadt von Triest: Um bei der Abreise mit dem Auto zum Hotel zurückzukommen und das Gepäck zu holen, muss man ca. 10 Minuten durch die Hügel über dem Hotel herumkurven. Der Parkplatz ist ja so weit am Berg, dass es nicht zumutbar ist, mit dem Gepäck den Berg hochzulaufen, um schneller wegfahren zu können. Und für den Wellness-Bereich muss man noch 15 Euro pro Kopf zusätzlich bezahlen...

Die Hausdame müsst ein wenig besser ihren Damen auf die Finger schauen. Sauberkeit lässt ein wenig zu wünschen übrig. Am Abend war das Wasser zum Duschen so heiss, konnte weder in der Dusche noch bei der Badewanne reguliert werden.

It is located in the heart of historic Trieste and close to the Adriatic. There are cafes and shopping all around. We dropped off our car at Avis and had a short walk to this beautiful hotel. It was built as a palace. Go have a drink at their richly decorated bar.

A beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and excellent facilities. There was a skylight and a light well in my room, both of which could be operated remotely. I had free water and coffee in my room every day. The hotel isn't cheap but, comparatively speaking, I do think it is good value for money (I've paid more for less in other hotels). Location also good.

Lovely historic building in superb location. Room was clean but tiny .. not enough room to swing a cat, as they say 🙄 we travelled with a small dog 😁! Reception staff were very helpful. If you’re driving to the hotel, be aware that satnav doesn't guide you to the hotel entrance and that parking is not onsite. Secure parking is approx a 5 minute walk up a steep hill. Pets are not allowed at breakfast. Shame that the room was so small but this is not the first Doubletree small room i've stayed at...it may be a Doubletree thing.

In the USA you usually don't expect a Doubletree to be a stunningly gorgeous classic hotel. They kept the 1900 beauty but upgraded the hotel in a very stylish way. It is close to most of the sites you want to see in Triest. The room service was better than the outside restaurants we tried, and not overexpensive like in the USA but similarly priced compared to other restaurants. The room was spacious and well appointed. The best part of our experience were the employees. Sara (front desk), Sofia (restaurant/bar), Omar, Mohanned, and may others were extraordinarily helpful and pleasant.
