  • The little gem offers amazing views of the lake and the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. Relax on the spacious deck with grill or enjoy the outdoor sports of Colorado. With Cuchara Ski Basin now open, skiing is just a day trip away! Kayak and fish in the lake, hike, mountain bike or just enjoy the beautiful views. This is the perfect spot to relax for up to 2 adults. Inquire about pets. Come and enjoy Colorado outdoors. This is 20 min from downtown. The roads are dirt and a 4WD is not required but may make travel easier in inclement weather.

This place is amazing! If I could rate it a 10 I would! The view from the porch is fabulous: lake, mountains, and so many trees. Although the cabin is small, the view is worth every penny. The host left us wine, lots of coffee pods, a delicious coffee cake, fresh flowers and more. We will definitely be coming back to stay here!

Beautiful clean cabin and the deck view of the mountains and lake were very nice. pet friendly added bonus! Loved the stars at night so bright! Definitely would love to return.

The cabin was very nice ! We were comfortable and the host was very helpful with directions & notified us of the air conditioning going out. The replacement air conditioning was ok but did get very warm the last day. Overall we enjoyed ourselves very much!!

This place is great! Would highly recommend! It’s in a fantastic location with close proximity to Trinidad Lake State Park and Trinidad. Views were amazing overlooking the lake, and we loved sitting out on the porch and enjoying the peace and quiet. The host had welcome goodies for us and even treats for the pup when we arrived. It was such a nice surprise! The house was a perfect for the 2 of us, and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come again. Thank you so much!

This was the perfect combination of isolation and adventure! It was so quiet at the cabin and the view was beyond description. A trip to the state park nearby and downtown Trinidad complemented this cozy retreat. Our host clearly has a passion for hospitality. Our stay couldn’t have been better!

This was absolutely beautiful. We got to see a brown bear at the property from the window. The lake view is better than advertised. The hostess left us a fantastic snack/breakfast in the fridge. Note that the coffee is Keurig not a drip pot, if you are wanting to bring your own coffee. . Overall it was a wonderful mountain escape. It is walking distance to the lake for those who are interested. The hostess is great. The location is wonderful. Book it of you can. You won't regret it!

Everything about our vacation stay at the Lake Cabin was fantastic! This property has everything going for it if you are looking for a comfortable, cozy, private retreat with a spectacular view of Lake Trinidad and beautiful surroundings. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find a nice bottle of wine and tasty snacks. The host couple, Amy and Martin, were very conscientious about every detail and went out of their way to tend to an unexpected problem with the air conditioning. We plan to return anytime we are in Southern Colorado.

My husband and I needed a long weekend away from it all. THIS PLACE WAS PERFECT! We could sit outside in peace. We drove around, enjoyed the area, and relaxed. If you go, which you should, follow Amy’s directions! Amy’s place is spotless and has small sweet touches of charm. The bed was comfortable and the pictures don’t do the views justice: The place is small, welcoming, comfortable, and a place where you can forget time and your troubles. We hope to return.

Great place that I’ll definitely recommend. It’s small and cozy just like we were looking for. We spent a lot of time on the back deck relaxing and enjoying the view of the lake and the mountains.

Good communication with Amy, very hospitable. Easy check-in and check-out. Very clean, cozy and quant lil gem by the lake with beautiful views from the outside deck of the lake & mountains, very private tucked away in the mountain landscape.Very surprised by the beautiful flowers and goodie’s welcoming us to this home away from home. We will definitely be back in the near future.
