“The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! “Fabulous stay. Clean, comfy, and within walking distance to the entirety of Kusatsu Onsen. The japanese breakfast was excellent. Relaxing indoors and outdoors onsen despite being in a town full of them. Bit of a language barrier for some of the staff but nothing that should surprise anyone who've travelled around Japan for a bit. Pick the yukata that catches your eye and be sure to stroll through town clad in it during the evening.”
