Two week rental following a hectic wedding celebration for our daughter. Our purpose was relaxation - good walking and hiking nearby, good for bird watching, comfortable places to sit in the sun or shade and read, close to groceries, restaurants, etc., but peaceful and out of the way. The casita delivered on all points. Modern, well appointed and very clean; quite spacious for something labeled a "casita", in absolutely beautiful location. It's in far southwest Tucson (Drexel Heights) about 12-14 minutes west of I-19 at the end of a dirt road. In 14 days not a single car drove by, yet we felt very safe on the edge of a neighborhood. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of hot water, comfortable bed, fantastic views - it met all our needs. It is a drive to get to central Tucson - Garden District, University, Catalina foothills, Mt. Lemmon, etc., so that may be a factor for some. It didn't hinder us. We ranged all over Tucson to many familiar birding sites, venues such as the Botanic Gardens and restaurants. You need to follow host's written directions to get to the casita first time as many streets your GPS thinks are there aren't, but directions are clear and by day 2 you know how to get anywhere. Recommend arriving in daylight first time to better spot the landmarks and find the casita. We drove (from Omaha) and knew to take lounge chairs from the pictures (otherwise there are only straight back chairs on the porch or out back) and had several naps in the sun when out books got heavy. Satellite tv, so you don't need streaming services. For our purposes it was an A+ visit.
