“I don't know how Expedia could list such a property on its website. The property is indicated as a backpacker establishment but it is more a boarding house for the down and out. The premises were filthy and unsanitary, the carpet was solid with dirt and sticky, the sheets had blood stains on them, there was rubbish and boxes lying everywhere in the common areas. I felt unsafe. When I told the proprietor that I wanted to leave she insisted on taking a cancellation fee. There was nothing else...

“Roligt ställe om man är på partyhumör! Alltid nåt på gång, bra gemenskap. Dock rätt så högljutt och även smutsigt i stora delar... läget var sådär, ca 10 minuters promenad in till stan. Inte mitt favorithostel i Nelson men ändå helt okej!”

“Till att börja med fick vi vänta på hostelvärden i en halvtimme för att checka in, trots att vi kom inom ramarna av check-in-tiden. Vårt dubbelrum liknade en fängelsecell, saknade avlastningsytor och kändes inte heller rent. Det gemensamma köket var smutsigt och kaosartat och kylarna var rent av äckliga. Vi fick inte heller checka ut i fred, utan femton minuter före utcheckningstiden stormade städpersonal in i rummet och började bädda ur sängarna, trots att både vi och våra tillhörigheter...

“The twin room was next to the kitchen where people came in and had very loud concersations until 2.30am and the first people in the morning arrived at 6.30am. The only windows where to the kitchen and the hallway and there was no fresh air. Over all too hot and too noisy to get enough sleep.”

“Interesting - no one there to check in or out. Just left key on counter for us. Nice and clean room, small and basic, but that’s all we needed for a short overnight stop. ”

“Väldigt kvavt i rummet. Ingen ac. Hade små bett på benen efter att ha sovit där. Bedbugs? Snabbt Internet. Tillgång till kök å tvättstuga finns”
