Owl's Rest Cabin is nestled in acres of fully wooded, peaceful forest. This is a cozy couple's retreat or small family getaway with a fireplace, hot tub, full kitchen, and washer/dryer, located 4 minutes to Lake Mary and 15 min to Lake Geneva. Enter Owl's rest into a large great room with vaulted wood trusses, wood- burning fireplace, and a huge, beautiful stained glass window.
Upstairs you'll find a very cozy bedroom with a comfortable king bed, soft lighting, and a desk area that is open to the great room below.
The outside space is very inviting, with room to enjoy! Grill your favorite meal and dine under the big pine tree on the patio, or kick back in the Adirondack chairs surrounding the fire by the old oak trees.
For a cozy evening indoors, enjoy the buttery- soft leather sofa and watch a movie on the 70" TV. The sofa pulls out to a queen bed if needed.
The full-sized kitchen is ready for cooking, and also offers a selection of tea, cocoa, and locally roasted gourmet coffee.
The full sized washer and dryer are in a laundry room that is accessed from the outside. You'll find beach amenities inside the laundry room for your use. Owl's Rest incorporates many additional sustainability features such as using all electric energy inside the cabin, high efficiency heat pump and air conditioning, and EPA wood burning fireplace.

Guests have full access to the entire cabin and laundry room, and two parking spaces with a level 2 EV charger (J1772 type). Guests are welcome to enjoy the area that the cabin sits on (one acre).
Please note that our property is surrounded by acres of properties in all directions which are privately owned by others.

While Owl's Rest is secluded in a forest, there are respectful neighbors and families in the vicinity. There are also deer, birds and other wildlife. In the distance you may hear soft church bells ring or a rooster crowing. The cabin is 5 minutes outside of town.

We recommend using "Waze" for your navigational app for best results. When arriving, there is a very long, hilly, gravel driveway with parking for 2 cars on top, and room to turn around. Follow the Owl's Rest Cabin sign up to the top. Message us if you have any trouble finding the cabin. In winter, we will plow the snow for you, and 4 wheel drive or AWD is required for the driveway.

Owl's Rest is a great year-round getaway. There are area festivals and markets, sandy Lance Park Beach, the Aquanuts water- ski show (free), boating and golfing nearby. Autumn and winter are stunning as the forest changes color and then is covered in a white blanket of snow. Visit the orchard, enjoy dinner at a local supper club, and curl up by the fire. Downhill ski and go tubing at Wilmot Mountain 10 minutes away or visit Winterfest in Lake Geneva. It is really beautiful when it snows in the forest! We will plow and salt the driveway, and All-Wheel-Drive is appropriate for this location when it is snowy. This is because the cabin is tucked far back in the forest and the gravel driveway is hilly.
