âThis place was nothing less than an oasis of peacefulness in a chaotic place. After a long day of Machu Picchu adventure (4:30AM to 7pm) we were greeted by the owner to see if we needed anything. The staff and the owner continually went out of the way to make our stay great. Filtered water in the room and bottled water available for purchase at the front desk. Breakfast was very good too! â
âThis property is tucked away in the cobblestone streets an easy 5 minute walk to the plaza. The two twin room was nice and there was hot-ish water and a hair dryer. The patio had the most wonderful view. We didnât get to eat breakfast since we had an early tour. I appreciated that they had both purified and boiled water and a lot of it for guests so we could fill our water bottles before our trek. The only thing was our 3rd floor room, although quiet, was quite cold. Colder than the temperature...
âWe actually didn't get to spend a lot of time at this hotel, but we cannot recommend Andenes Inca and the staff enough. Here is why. First, we had to go to Aguas Calientes (without staying at this property) because our trip to Machu Picchu from Cusco was cancelled. They offered us a partial refund after knowing our situation. They took care of our luggages for 3 days when we were gone. Second, when the process of getting tickets was very difficult, they sent us encouraging messages to stay...
âWe loved our stay here. Staff were helpful and friendly. We arrived in the dark and were pleasantly surprised to wake up to a STUNNING view of the archeological site from our window! Even though we arrived late, check in was easy. Would definitely recommend!â
âOur experience at the Anido hotel was amazing! Yhami took great care of us!! We were able to check in early and the location was perfect. The patio was so lovely and the room was great for our 2 night stay. â
âI came to Hacienda Roman knowing that in this part of Peru, you can't expect all the amenities like WiFi, cable TV, etc. If you go in with reasonable expectations, you'll be happy with this hotel.
The pros: Staff are quite nice. Food is tasty and available fresh on site. Personal attention, especially the tour of the coffee/jungle out back, is phenomenal. The entire stay was worth it just for this!!
The cons: Cooking is unbelievably slow; it took us no less than 1.5 hours to finish a meal...
âCan highly recommend!!
Magical hotel that is directly at the train station.
There is no disturbance from the trains and feels like an oasis.
Itâs built in colonial style and has their own organically garden, coffee roastery and alcohol distillery. The room we had was spacious and all of them are surrounded by a wonderful flower and fruit garden. Breakfast is included and offers a small buffet and also a a la carte menu with different types of egg, pancakes and French toasts.
10/10 amazing! â
âNice, clean and comfortable. Very close to the Plaza, market and ruins, just off the main roads. Quiet and little traffic outside, except for the vivid river. Unfortunately the host we met only speaks Spanish, but was friendly and helpful. â
âThe owners are very nice and the location is beautiful. It's a little walk away from the main part of town, but not much at all. We were allowed to park our motorcycles inside, which was great. There is no AC, but it wasn't necessary with the windows open. Breakfast was good. No issues! â
âThis was a lovely boutique hotel with a beautiful view of the river and the mountains. Very accommodating staff with a nice breakfast and good information about the town and tour options. The manager took me on a private tour of the Sacred Valley and also woke up extra early to make me breakfast before my Machu Picchu visit. There was no heat in the room but there were plenty of warm blankets to keep you comfortable. I felt completely safe as a solo female traveler and would highly recommend...
âI had a pleasant stay at Taypikala Boutique Hotel. The staff were welcoming and generously upgraded me to a suite, which was a lovely surprise. The room was comfortable and exceeded my expectations. The only downside was that the hot water in the shower ran out after a few minutes, turning slightly chilly. Still, it was an overall great experience, and Iâd happily stay again.â
