Relax and unwind at this tranquil & unique rustic lakefront getaway with spectacular sunsets!

The Hummingbird Cottage at The Pier sleeps 7 people and is one of five cottages located at the foot of Canadohta Lake. Canadohta Lake is Pennsylvania's second-largest natural lake, with nearly three miles of shoreline. Activities include fishing, birdwatching, minigolf, roller rink, miniature golf, parks, swimming, pontoon boats/ kayaks, and paddle boards. The Pier is great for a family vacation or a work/play destination. It has use of the 100 feet of private lakefront access with a great view of the lake and sunsets. In addition to the lakefront access at The Pier, Ruggles Park is located immediately next door. It is a community park and is open to the public. There is a small beach, a basketball court, and a pier for fishing. You may want to consider bringing lawn chairs and a cooler 😊. There are NO LIFEGUARDS.
The Hummingbird cottage has 2 bedrooms - 1 full size bed and 1 bunk with a full-size bottom, a single top, and a pull-out sofa. It has 1 bathroom, a kitchen with a range, a refrigerator, and a small porch. There is a pavilion for outside dining/picnics. It is shared with the other 4 tiny cottages and is equipped with two charcoal grills (charcoal not provided) and a propane grill (propane provided). There are two shared fire rings at lakefront and there is parking on-site for 1 vehicle only. There is no TV, but we have Wi-Fi. There is no central heating, but the cottage has an electric radiator-type heater in each bedroom and a wall heater in the common room. There is no air conditioning, but each cottage has a whole house fan, and we also provide circulating fans. The Pier is equipped with a potable water supply. It has an on-site PA Department of Environmental Protection approved water treatment system. Our water is chlorinated and softened and tested monthly.
Kayaks and Paddleboards: You can bring your own or rent them locally. We have a shared dock to launch and tie-up. Lifejackets (not provided) are required on PA Fish & Boat Commission Lakes. There are NO LIFEGUARDS.

No fireworks. Please be respectful of the other guests and your neighbors and keep the noise down from 10PM to 9AM.
Please no flushing of regular/flushable wipes and/or feminine napkins/tampons in the toilet. There is a trashcan in the bathroom.
At checkout gather used towels/bedding in the bathroom, take garbage to outside dumpster, turn everything off. Clear fridge. Return key to lockbox.

Beautiful and right on the lake! The sunsets were amazing and it was very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed every minute of it! Walking distance for most people to Happi Jax and the Frog Pond. We also enjoyed putt putt golf at two different spots! We rented kayaks and a pontoon boat as well. It was wonderful!

Little piece of Heaven

We really enjoyed our stay at the hummingbird cabin. The host was quick to respind to any concerns or questions. The neighbor's were sweet and welcoming. The restaurant down the lake was a great vibe for everyone. We had 2 adults 2 teens and 2 kids and we slept comfortably. 10/10 would stay here again.

Beautiful little cabin on the lake

Hidden Jewel on Lake Canadoha! The property was impeccably clean, and everything that was included worked perfectly. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. But what truly stole the show was the setting itself. The location on the lake was breathtakingly beautiful and incredibly peaceful. It was exactly the tranquility we were searching for. We sincerely hope to be able to return and stay here again in the future. Thank you so much, Tamara, for your hospitality!

Great experience!

We stayed at the lake for a mini family reunion and everything was great! Location was fantastic…within walking distance of Frog Pond. House had everything that we needed for the stay. The pavilion was an added bonus to the property. I would highly recommend staying at this property. Looking for great pizza give The Anchor a try👍
