âFirst, the front staff member (Ashley) was extremely welcoming and caring during my stay. She ensured I was checked in and made small conversation. The room itself was beautiful and clean, very accessible and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and enjoyable. â
âThe Emily Hotel was in a convenient area of Chicago close to the family wedding we were attending in mid-September.
Rooms were clean modern and had loads of desk space but no dressers or nightstands.
Staff was helpful in telling us about the nearby parking garage beneath the Google building across the street. We parked our car there for $57/ day vs Valet for $85 (with unlimited in and) at The Emily.
We would stay there again. â
âExcellent hotel, my only complaint would be the Peninsula food service.
We ate at the Shanghai Terrace our first night on site and honestly the food was only 2 stars. Specifically the appetizers were minuscule, and 90% pastry dough. Whatever filling was supposed to be inside all the dough largely wasnât. The whole Peking duck was arranged haphazardly on the plate, the skin was not really crispy, and the taste experience was completely lackluster.
As to the main dining room the service...
âThe staff was attentive and professional, though I don't think the number that texts you when you check in is a human, because I asked if they had something I'd run out of and never got a response. Regardless, it was a beautiful place to stay with extremely comfortable beds--down pillows included. Slightly loud on the side I stayed on, but it calmed down after a while. Thank you for a nice stay.â
âBy far the best apartment we have ever booked with Hotels.com Very spacious, nice furniture, quiet and very well equipped kitchen. Nice personel at the desk, easy virtual check-in without any hassle. Lovely rooftop pool. Nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants close by. Rating should be 11/10â
âVery nice stay. Only negative was when checking in our room wasn't ready and we were told we would get a text when it was. We checked our bags at the desk and left to see the city and never got any notice our room was ready. When we got back to hotel around midnight after a concert we had to finish checking in. Turns out the person hadn't checked us in but only held a room for us. If the room had been ready earlier we would have stopped back in to finish check in as opposed to doing it late at...

âI always stay at the Hyatt in downtown Chicago whenever Iâm in town for concerts at the United Centerâor really anytime I visit the city. The customer service is consistently excellent, with staff who are friendly, attentive, and make everything easy. The location canât be beat; getting to the United Center is quick and stress-free. Iâve tried other places, but none compare. This hotel has become my go-to in Chicago, and I highly recommend it.

"As a swede, my opinon is that hotels in US can differ so much in quality, but this hotel is really a gem! Very clean, fresh and a great feeling everywhere. Friendly staff, great gym and in general a high quality experience. We booked with breakfast, and the breakfast is worth its price. Overall, a really great experience!"
