We had such a great stay at Green Valley Inn. The rooms are large, and had all amenities we needed (AC, parking, mini fridge, etc). The best part was how the owner Wayne and his wife, welcomed us in like family! We were treated like gold and learned more about Belizean culture in our short stay at Green Valley Inn than anywhere else we stayed. Will definitely be back!

This place is paradise in the jungle. An amazing, smiling and very helpful owner and her sweet staff make your stay memorable. Breakfast, dinner and drinks are available except Sundays at a very reasonable additional cost. Eat there! The grounds and outdoor showers are jewels. Book this place and look no further. Only about 25 min easy drive into San Ignacio.

Our host Marcela was very nice, she also helped with booking tours as well. Eva was awesome too. The bungalow that we stayed in was rustic, neat and clean. It also had an outside shower which was new to us. We appreciated the mini fridge and coffee maker. Lush, green property. Lots of friendly dogs. We had a bungalow near the rear of the property so it was fairly quiet. Fruit or nuts, I think, drop on the roof, so if you’re a light sleeper, you’ll notice this. We ate breakfast and dinner here. The meals were tasty and plentiful. There is a bar and a small market within a 10 minute walk. But we advise either doing a lot of tours that will pick you up, or rent a car to explore on your own, because there’s not much else in walking distance. Overall a pleasant stay.

Marcella and Eva were absolutely amazing during our stay. They recommended great tours (I’d recommend Mario to se Caracol to anyone who loves history!) and set things up for us so it was seamless. Dinners are not included but well worth the price! I loved having homemade meals while traveling. The grounds were kept very clean and so were the rooms. I would absolutely recommend The Green Valley Inn without hesitation!

We stayed here for 2 nights while traveling to western Belize to visit some of the Mayan sites in the area. Upon settling into the tree house we had rented, we quickly decided that we should have booked more time here. The grounds are just beautiful and very well kept.The tree house was comfortable and charming with plenty of privacy provided by the palms, mango, and other vegetation surrounding it. There is a well maintained pool with a covered barbeque area next to it, with hammocks and outdoor seating. The hostess Marcela is friendly, accomodating and a total gem. She is quick to share her knowledge of the area and works with local guides to provide tours and excursions for her guests. Meals are offered at very reasonable additional prices. The breakfasts were perfect with toast, fruit, yogurt, juice and more. Dinner was delicious and Marcela will do her best to provide for your requests. I can't say enough good things about this place. I wouldn't hesitate to book a stay here and you won't be disappointed either. Thank you so much Marcela.

Petite cabane dans le jardin luxuriant. Intime. Très, très propre. Café et eau froide disponible dans la chambre. La douche chaude extérieure est un must. Quoi de mieux que se doucher sous les étoiles! Piscine calme et très agréable en fin de journée Le personnel est très sympathique. La propriétaire est géniale. Elle est disponible et très accomodante. Repas très bon et en bonne quantité. Superbe endroit pour l'observation d'oiseaux et relaxer sur le balcon ou la piscine. Hébergement vraiment très bien entretenu.

Quite a relaxing and beautiful experience. Marcela takes care of your entire stay from excursions to all the meals. The fresh fruit, lime juice, and jungle experience were highlights of the entire trip. If you’re looking for a jungle experience with all the comforts, this is the best spot to stay!

The Green Valley Inn is a true gem. It's clean, safe, beautifully maintained. The true gems though are the owner Marcela and her right hand lady Eva who run the place. They make you feel so wonderfully at home and cook you the most yummy breakfasts and dinners every day! Marcela also arranges all tours for you and even transport if you want. I almost don't want to review them, because I don't want other people to discover this absolute gem of a place!

Incredibly warm, wonderful owner Marcela made every detail enjoyable. The property is lush with a great variety of tropical plants, a swimming pool, and a shaded lounge area with hammocks. For those who wish to join, daily homemade breakfasts and dinners are served at the community table (around 8-9 people max in the whole resort). I truly cannot say enough good things about this gem. If you love the thought of waking up in a jungle treehouse to nothing but the sounds of nature, check this place out!

Loved treehouse and the beauty of the property! What a beautiful scene every morning with your coffee on the balcony! You could walk around property for days and still not see all the different plants and birds. Property owner made you feel like away to visit family. Full concierge service and helped book all our excursions. And the food was to die for! Best in area. Definitely would not stay anywhere else on mainland Belize

Hidden gem- Clean, Quiet, Friendly, Well-priced
We had a fantastic time. The staff was amazing. Eva cooked our dinners and breakfasts which were all reasonably priced. Hotel was very quite with a very natural jungle like feel, but it was still just 20 minutes to San Ignacio. We didn't have a car but had shuttles and the tour companies pick us up. Took a cab back one day after the hotel staff dropped us off in town. Pros: quiet, friendly, comfy bed, four fun dogs on the property, very affordable, clean, good AC, kitchen the with fridge, stove top and microwave. Cons: outdoor shower was neat, but it wasn't very hot and there wasn't much pressure, but it was fine for a few days. Thankfully it never gets cold in Belize.

Loved staying here! Two main highlights for me: the semi-outdoor bathroom, especially in daytime when the sun is blazing down - just out of this world! And the amazing, awe-inspiring star-lit night sky!! If it wasn't so cold I might have just spent the night lying outside looking up! Other high points: 1. the absolute peacefulness and serenity of the place - because it's so far away from the main road, neatly nestled in the bush, you hardly hear any sound other than birds and other elements of nature...and maybe other guests, if they're around. 2. Marcela's willingness to try to accommodate us at every turn, especially regarding meals and our pesky vegetarian requests. :) She's an excellent host, very warm and engaging, not at all intrusive. All of her suggestions for activities/places to visit were spot on! 3. Staff are extraordinarily, genuinely outgoing. 4. Food was simple, satisfying and delish! It made us feel at home!

As an environmental engineer, i appreciate eco friendly hotels and this 1 was 1 exceptional when it came to sustainable tourism. It was away from the city so puck up supplies before getting to the hotel but the hotel supplies everything you will need and the cooking is amazing.

The Green Valley Inn is ideally situated near the ATM Caves (very highly recommended!) and nearby Maya sites such as Xunantunic. The owner and staff are very helpfull when organizing the required guides. The rooms are very clean and unique (we stayed in a tree house). There is a pool and the property has a large tropical garden. The food (we had breakfasts and dinners) is excellent and freshly prepared. We can recommend this property very highly and will be back!

Awesome Stay. I loved the owner Marsela and her workers. Eva and Joel. They took me to San Ignacio the closest town whenever I needed with no hesitation. Her 3 dogs, all rescue were very friendly. The pool was an added bonus. They offer lots of tours but this trip I was not able to take advantage of them. Marsela and Eva made me breakfast and dinn every day. Great tasting food. I loved my treehouse. It was very clean and neat. Don't miss out on this fabulous place. I really enjoyed my evenings talking and playing cards with them. The best part was Marsela's sweet and friendly nature.

The treehouse was tiny but very functional. I really enjoyed the coffee provided and stocked fridge in case we needed anything. Marcela was a great host and made us a wonderful dinner and tasty breakfast. It’s a little hard to spot from the road with all the construction in the area but Marcela gave us great directions so we found it easily. Would recommend this great little spot and will stay there again if we are in the area.

The property was absolutely gorgeous. Peaceful and relaxing. Host was most accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed. We stayed Feb 3rd -Friday Feb 7th and had 2 cabins for four people. The cabins were lovely and rustic. Everything was very clean. We ate 3 meals there -2 breakfasts and one dinner and enjoyed everything. The prices were good and portions were large. Marcela arranged a tour to ATM for us, which was incredible, well worth the trip. We loved Marcela's super friendly canine companions , Miss and Girl. The pool was a refreshing end to our days which were hot and dry. Marcela and her staff were the perfect hosts and it would be our pleasure to stay at Green Valley again

We couldnt have picked a better place to stay!! Marcela is a super host and cooks the best food. We stayed for three nights and wish it was longer. Location was perfect, in between the small towns with a larger city not far away.

The property was set off the road and was extremely quiet. We passed the sign for the turn initially, but quickly realized it. The owner was very friendly and helpful with any questions that we had.

Great and quiet location. Owners are living on the property. they are very nice and a very good source of information. They can also be your tour guide if you want. The unit was clean and fully furnished. I'll we just change two small things (the head-shower and the kitchen faucet) to make this unit perfect.

What a unique and fun stay! My family of four stayed at the Green Valley Inn just after Christmas holiday for four nights. We loved it! Peter and Marcella are wonderful hosts: it felt much more like visiting family friends. We ate breakfast and dinner there every day, and loved the food (they also had no problem with dietary restrictions, with some notice). Peter helped to arrange excursions to the many nearby attractions, so we had no stress at all. Our sons enjoyed cooling off and playing in the small pool each evening, and befriending the family's two dogs. The rooms were spotless, and the air conditioning worked very well. It was also quite nice to have refrigerators in the room. We also enjoyed the rustic outdoor showers (blocked for privacy of course!). Overall, highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy inland Belize!

If you're considering staying at this property, DO IT! You will not regret it. Peter and his wife, Marcella, are wonderful hosts. The location of their property is incredibly convenient to ATM cave, Barton Creek, Caracol, and many other attractions. The hospitality is beyond amazing - Marcella cooks a wholesome breakfast with fresh fruit from their property and can even cook dinner for an extra small charge. Each cabana is thoughtfully decorated with the utmost attention to detail. We stayed in the apartment which is suitable for a family. It had a double bed with a bunk bed. There’s an outdoor shower with warm water, fully equipped kitchen, and is right across the swimming pool. It is also right next to Peter’s house which is where the communal kitchen is located. We went there for breakfast and dinner. They have 3 very friendly dogs - Girl, Sol, and Miss. Peter made our trip extremely easy. For a set price of $350 USD per person, he covered all transfers to/from the airport, water taxi terminal, and attractions as well as all of the tours we went on including ATM cave, Xunantunich mayan ruins, and canoeing at Barton Creek Cave. Peter worked with my group to create a trip that met all of our interests. He’s lived in Belize for over 13 years and has a ton of knowledge about the history and people. I learned so much from him during our car rides. Our stay at the Green Valley Inn went above expectations. If I were to come back to Belize, I would stay here again.

We had an exceptional time at the GreenValley Inn! The owner knows so much about Belize and puts great effort into ensuring each guest has a wonderful time. You should book all of your adventures through the Inn. Everything was very clean and the accommodations are beautiful. They have everything you need and all often the things you don’t (like a tv). The is a great place to recharge and explore the jungles of Belize.

We’ve stayed twice now!
We’ve stayed at Green Valley Inn twice now. First time was in the Family Bungalow in Jan 2018 for a week and second time was in a Double Room in April 2018 for a week. Both rooms were great and very clean! Peter and Marcella are fantastic people and hosts! If you are looking for adventure on the interior of Belize, this place is great! They will even help you plan out all the attractions to see! Highly recommend the Green Valley Inn!

More than expected
Too good to describe in this small space, more than a hotel, the owner was able to arrange tours and accommodations throughout Belize. The well designed rooms and food were amazing and when we checked out the bill was lower than expected. The accommodations were every bit as clean and comfortable as those we paid 6 times more for and we were able to meet other travelers and even join in on a 40th birthday celebration. BEST VALUE IN BELIZE.

Beautiful layout.The cabins are rustic and unique - brand new. Very clean. Easy to find as long as you know the area, which we did. Could be more difficult to a newcomer. Marcella and Peter are very nice hosts and will help with anything you need for your comfort.
