Average room, beds comfortable enough but loud a/c and traffic on the roads nearby thru the night. Breakfast as almost always in cheap hotels in the US - crap...including the all plastic experience...Glasses, spoons, bowls, plates etc...”

“Richard was the kindest innkeeper. He allowed me to stay in my room past checkout and drove me to the bus stop so I wouldn't have to walk my luggage in 92° heat. He was very thorough in his tour and very accommodating. Unfortunately, the window AC wasn't sufficient for the massive heat wave in most of the house, but I was staying in the basement apartment which was pleasantly cool. Breakfast was delicious, but be sure to inform them of any food allergies in advance!”

“Nice stay! We were up in the attic room with the skylights. We were a little disappointed we couldn't control the AC temp, but there were fans in the room. Also, the host does not make breakfast during the week, but the kitchen is stocked and you can make your own. She was very friendly. Nice little town. Most things are closed during the week.”

“Great non commercial place. Friendly staff. This is an older hotel/motel but it is well kept and maintained. Room was very clean. Almost felt like being at home. Can’t say enough how much I enjoyed staying there. Highly recommend.”

Minor hiccup at check-in due to booking through Expedia - Expedia doesn't share any info with the owner of the property and the email for my self check-in wasn't sent. I called the owner and he called right back after a few minutes and was able to give me all the instructions I needed. He even gave me some hiking recommendations. Later, the water...

We ran out of hot water when showering with that many guys to shower after long day out hunting (we just staggered our showers over longer time frame for the second day) and there was loose step stone on the steps. But like I said great place, all of the guys look forward to renting this place for next year too! Thanks for letting us stay!”
