First time in Vancouver
Well located and stylish 4 stars hotel; walkable distances to neighborhoods like Gastown, Stanley Park, waterfront (Canada Place) and transportation by Expo line from the Central Pacific train station and by Canada line to the airport. Several nice restaurants nearby like Joey's Burrard just across the street serving meals even after 10pm and Joe Fortes Seafood&chop on Thurlow street. Comfortable and spacious room. Although, breakfast is not included, but there is a restaurant with direct access from the hotel. There is also a pool with a jacuzzi included in the price. The Spa is not included and has to be booked separately. Also, a small market place in the hall where you can bye food and stamps for example.

The rooms were on par with a Comfort Inn. With 3 times the price, no breakfast and bottles of water at 10 dollars for standard and 8 for the mini i ended up with a extra charge of over $45 for 4 bottles of water. And come to find out there's a IGA food store within 500ft . If your going on a cruise, the distance is to far for older folks to walk and you have to take a taxi, so find a better place. They also charged my card $45 US more then the invoice at check out. Still fighting to find out why.

The hotel is in the heart of downtown Vancouver and the location is convenient for shopping, dining, walking or transportation. The staff is not very friendly and the cleanliness is average (carpet was dusty, bedsheet had a stain, bath mat had a stain).

Excellent location. The staff is extremely courteous, professional, and helpful. The rooms are kept very clean. The room is comfortable, quiet, and the bed was comfortable on the back. We would definitely return to the Sutton and recommend it to our family and friends.

I planned on using The $25 VIP reward I was supposed to get on breakfast so I went to the restaurant at 8:50am and was told that they were going to stop serving breakfast at 9am “So sorry” but I could order room service. When I checked it out the elevated costs for that service was total BS. $12 for a cup of coffee???

We very much enjoyed our room. Hotel lobby was very inviting and light filled. Staff were great and helpful. Close to restaurants and shopping. A movie theatre was across the street and one block away was an IGA grocery store opened 24 hours a day that had anything you could want including hot meals. If travelling for medical reasons the Saint Paul's hospital was within walking distance.

Perfect location in downtown Vancouver. Close to shopping and restaurants. Clean and basic room. The gym was excellent. I love it! Food tasted so good! I have to call to f/u tho because it had been an hour late. Waffles already cold but still tasted so good. AC was not working. It was warm in the room. My room card wasn’t working for the pool so I have to ask the receptionist to give me a card that’ll work. Receptionist said that the gold card has an access to the pool and not the bue card. She gave me a gold card but when I entered the pool, there were so many people so I didn’t use it. When I went back to my room, the card didn’t work. Glad my husband was inside. If the pool is open for all the hotel guests, all hotel guests with room cards (blue and gold) should be able to enter the pool hassle free.
