Il Pioppeto Camping & Residence is located on the picturesque coast of the southern Adriatic, about an hour’s drive south of Pescara, just 2 km from the center of Vasto Marina. The family-run resort is nestled in a green oasis and offers direct access to a pristine, fine-sand beach via a short walk (approx. 150 m). A varied entertainment program during peak season—featuring a kids’ club, cabaret evenings, and sports tournaments—guarantees fun for all ages. A restaurant with a pizzeria, a bar, and a well-stocked market for daily necessities are located right on the premises. Wi-Fi in the public areas and a bike rental service for tours along the adjacent bike path to Vasto Marina or San Salvo Marina round out the amenities.
The Happy Comfort mobile home accommodates up to 5 people. The accommodation consists of one bedroom with a double bed (190 cm x 140 cm) and one bedroom with two single beds (190 cm x 70 cm). The upholstered seating area in the living room provides additional sleeping space. The kitchenette is also located in the living area and features a 4-burner gas stove, dishes, silverware, pots, and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, a shower, and a sink (in some mobile homes, the toilet is located in a separate room). Air conditioning is available. The partially covered wooden deck is equipped with a table and chairs, as well as two lounge chairs or deck chairs and an electric grill. Travel time from the Italian border is approximately 8 hours. Note: If you need more than one accommodation, this is usually possible with us, as we have several units of the same style.
ARRIVAL DATE + LENGTH OF STAY
Please refer to the calendar for the arrival and departure dates as well as the minimum length of stay during your desired season. Note: If, for any reason, you are unable to arrive on the scheduled arrival date, you may, of course, check in the following day (please notify us before arrival). The same applies if you wish to depart early; in this case, you may also check out the day before. However, the rental period and price specified at the time of booking remain unchanged.
BEACH
The resort is located just 150 meters from a spacious, fine-sand beach nestled within the EU Special Area of Conservation (SIC) Marina di Vasto. With over 200 meters of coastline and a very gently sloping seabed, this unspoiled beach offers ideal conditions for families with children. While nature lovers appreciate the uncrowded stretch of beach, there are also managed beach facilities with lounge chairs and umbrellas in the immediate vicinity for added comfort.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY
The campground is particularly family-friendly and offers a mini-club with creative activities for young guests during peak season. The gently sloping sandy beach in the nature reserve is a safe paradise for children to play and explore. A small playground right on the grounds provides additional entertainment. Evenings are enlivened with family-friendly programs such as cabaret, dancing, and games. Cribs and high chairs are available upon request and for a fee (please specify when booking).
LEISURE AND SPORTS
The resort is the ideal starting point for athletic adventures along the Adriatic coast. A bike path leads directly from the campground to Vasto Marina, 2 km away, and to San Salvo Marina, 3 km away. For nature lovers, the adjacent Marina di Vasto nature reserve offers numerous trails for long walks. During the summer months, various sports tournaments and events are offered as part of the entertainment program. Organized day trips to the beautiful Tremiti Islands can be booked at the front desk.
SHOPPING
Right on the grounds, you’ll find a well-stocked market (open approximately from June 15 to August 31), which provides you with fresh groceries for your daily needs as well as practical beach items. Additional shopping options, supermarkets, and specialty stores are located in the center of Vasto Marina, just 2 km away.
DINING
The accommodation features a well-equipped kitchen. Alternatively, the on-site restaurant and pizzeria offers a selection of local specialties and Italian classics. A takeout service is also available for cozy evenings on your own terrace. The bar invites you to enjoy refreshing drinks and light snacks throughout the day.
PETS
One pet weighing up to 35 kg is welcome upon registration at the time of booking. Guests are required to pay a 120-euro deposit when bringing a dog. If everything is in order upon departure, guests will receive a 100-euro refund of the deposit, and 20 euros will go to the vacation park to cover additional cleaning costs. Please note that dogs are not permitted on the beach directly adjacent to the property. However, there is a special dog beach in the immediate vicinity, so you can enjoy the company of your faithful companion by the sea at any time.
SPECIAL INFORMATION
The tenant is responsible for final cleaning. Cleaning supplies such as brooms, mops, etc., are provided. The accommodations are inspected afterward to ensure they are clean. Any complaints will result in a charge of 50 euros. High chairs and travel cribs must be requested at the time of booking or reported no later than 1 week before arrival (later requests cannot be guaranteed). Name changes or substitutions of guests are not permitted during the stay.

The Il Pioppeto Camping & Residence vacation complex is located in Vasto Marina on the picturesque Costa dei Trabocchi, just 2 km from the city center and about 80 km from Pescara Airport. Its strategic location makes it easy to take quick trips to the provincial capital, Chieti (85 km), or to Pescara to the north (75 km).
CITY AND SURROUNDINGS
The Abruzzo region on the southern Adriatic coast is known as the “green lung of Europe” and offers a fascinating combination of crystal-clear seas and majestic mountain landscapes. The kilometers-long sandy beaches of Vasto Marina, which slope gently into the Adriatic Sea, are especially popular with families. A well-developed bike and walking path connects the resort directly to the lively center of Vasto Marina (2 km) and San Salvo Marina (3 km). An absolute highlight is the historic center of Vasto (Vasto Alta), which captivates visitors with its medieval charm, the Castello Caldoresco, and a spectacular panoramic view of the Gulf of Vasto. Nature lovers should visit the adjacent Marina di Vasto nature reserve as well as the nearby Punta Aderci nature reserve with its characteristic “trabocchi” (ancient fishing huts on stilts). For day trips, the Tremiti Islands—accessible by boat—are a great option, as is a tour of the Majella National Park, where you can discover ancient mountain villages and authentic Abruzzese cuisine. The provincial capital, Pescara, invites you to visit with its modern shopping streets and museums.
