The staff here went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room is very nice, the bathroom, very modern. The only thing I could complain about is that the room was a little musty smelling because of all the heavy rain they were having. I'm sure that can't be helped, Venice is a really wet place! The bed was very comfortable.

The staff were very nice and helpful. They supported our travel by contacting us before we got in the hotel so that we didn’t feel any anxiety how to get there. We also loved how they prepared our breakfast. It was very beautiful!

Fabulous small and friendly hotel.
Fabulous stay in Venice. The hotel is in a great location, away from the busy/tourist areas (but not far to walk to all the sights). Very clean with a fabulous Italian breakfast. If you like music, Venice Jazz Club is just a few minutes walk away and a great night out. Will definitely stay again.

Home away from h home
Staying at Avogaria feels both peaceful and far away from the crowds and at the same time, a short walk away from everything. My room was like a little oasis and the owners and staff are warm, kind and extremely accommodating. I will definitely stay here again.

Hotel was located in a more residential area of Venice so it was quiet but only a few dining areas nearby. The room itself was well furnished with a little garden area attached to the room. However, the hotel had a very peculiar policy of requiring us to leave the room key when we went out. I was concerned that any staff or other guests had access to our room while we were out. It was also time consuming as we had to go to the front desk every time to drop off the key and pick it up. I would not stay at this hotel for this inconvenient and worrying key issue.

Josè,it is evident that you have never traveled.In all hotels in the world, the room key must always be left at the reception.There is no waste of time because to enter the room, of course, you have to go through the reception.The staff is always in possession of the room keys because, in your absence, they do the daily cleaning.The area is full of restaurants and bars.Before returning, please travel the world for a few years.Best wishes

Tolles 1 klassiges Hotel mit Charme und Styling
Tolles kleines Hotel mit nur 5 individuellen Zimmern. Jedes Zimmer ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und haben einen super Styling! Die Besitzer des Hotels sind sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit und gehen auf alle Wünsche ein. Top top top Die Lage des Hotels ist erwas ausserhalb des Geschehnis aber man ist zu Fuss sehr schnell zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten dass man froh ist ausserhalb zu sein. Das Hotel ist Ruhig und nicht hellhörig wie die meisten Hotels auf Venedig. Drei von den fünf Zimmern haben einen Innenhof wo man sich verweilen kann 👍

The owners of the hotel are gracious, patient with kids, and helpful in recommending places to eat nearby. The double shower in our room was amazing too.

Hotel claims to be very up to date very private but we didn’t see this in our stay our room was dated bed was uncomfortable bathroom was wet all the time the water spills everywhere, and there’s no air conditioning only heater. Service is good helpful but just not what is portrayed in the pics.

Dear Daisy, Thanks a lot for your review Let us know what you mean by "water spill everywhere" because we don't really understand. The bathroom has no water leaks. In February in Italy it is winter, the average temperature is 0-5 degrees, so it makes no sense to turn on the air conditioning. The air conditioning is turned on during spring and summer. We also give you some news: in Italy the heating can be turned off and the windows can open. Sincerely

The room has its style. Can hear the sounds from the street and the room upstairs, which didn't bother me though. The staffs at the reception are very friendly and helpful.

Great Stay
Great location if you’re trying to stay a bit further away from the main hustle and bustle (St. Marks Square area). But, the walk to the main areas are definitely doable. Super friendly and accommodating staff as well. And, there’s air conditioning! Definitely recommend.

Nice location, Italian service...
Nice area, quite friendly and helpful staff. TV did not work due to a storm (and was never fixed during our stay). Breakfast was ok. The shower was nice, but the bathroom was impractical.

Tolles Hotel mit nur 5 Zimmer die individuelle eingerichtet sind. Sehr freundliche Gastgebern die extra Wünsche wenn möglich erfüllen. Sie sind sehr hilfsbereit bei Tipps und geben die Informationen gerne ab. Sie sehr hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich! Top Lage (außerhalb des Massentourismus) und Sehenswürdigkeiten sind schnell erreichbar!

L'hôtel est vraiment très bien situé, juste à côté d'une station vaporetto et dans le quartier de l'Académie. La rue est calme et la chambre spacieuse. Le petit-déjeuner est très bon. Cerise sur le gâteau, le personnel est vraiment adorable. Ce fut un réel plaisir de séjourner dans cet hôtel. Bref que du positif !

Ottima sistemazione
Esperienza positiva e soggiorno molto piacevole. Avogaria si trova in una tipica casa veneziana ed è frutto di una ristrutturazione attenta il cui pregio, a mio avviso, è quello di aver saputo coniugare il rispetto degli ambienti e delle strutture originarie con le esigenze della nuova destinazione alberghiera. Gli spazi comuni sono necessariamente un po’ sacrificati ma, grazie anche alla disponibilità e alla cortesia dei titolari e di tutto il personale, la sensazione per il cliente è quella di un ambiente raccolto e accogliente, quasi famigliare. La stanza era spaziosa e confortevole, arredata con gusto e originalità, con accesso esclusivo a una corte interna adibita a giardino (che purtroppo non abbiamo potuto sfruttare a pieno avendo soggiornato nel periodo di capodanno). L’insonorizzazione è eccezionale e la tranquillità è garantita. La collocazione dell’albergo è ottimale: si trova in una zona appartata rispetto alle grandi direttrici di spostamento dei turisti ma comunque vicinissima agli imbarchi dei traghetti (sia della Giudecca, sia del Canal Grande) e a pochi passi dai soliti percorsi verso S. Lucia, Rialto, l’Accademia, San Marco, mete tutte facilmente raggiungibili in pochi minuti a piedi. Consigliato.

Venice the quandary.
Good location. Hosts were good. WiFi bad to non-existent. They did try to fix it though. First world problems..Room comfortable and unique. Overall an enjoyable stay. Venice. No other city like it. Probably a good thing...

Nice B&B close to San Basillio cruise terminal
Excellent little jewel in a quiet suburb of Venice. It is a 25 minute walk to the tourist area and Piazza San Marco or you can catch the Vaporetto which is very nearby. It is a nice escape from the hordes of tourists that overrun Venice. The room is a solid 3-4 star, not overly luxurious but nice enough. The commercial soap dispensers in the bathroom were an interesting touch :-). The wifi and tv were down and the owner explained there was an area outage. This was no big deal as if you’re in Venice, you should be out walking and exploring. All in all, I recommend the Avogaria if you want comfortable lodging in close proximity to the cruise terminal and enjoy strolling. The staff are wonderful.

Très bon emplacement au cœur de Venise... Petit hôtel cosi et intimiste avec seulement 5 chambres : idéal pour un couple. Le petit jardin intérieur est un vrai plus pour profiter d'un extérieur. Rapport qualité/prix un peu élevé : petit déjeuner copieux et varié mais rien de maison... prix élevé pour une chambre agréable et spacieuse mais qui ne reflète pas un certain standing qu'on peut attendre.
