Dear Mr Mats, we thank you, at the same time are pleased with all the guest who chose La Palazzina Veneziana to enjoy the most enchanting city of the world. We appreciate all feedback from our clients, yet we also appreciate fairness. Therefore I wish to clarify a number of points. To make clear ,this is a small hotel managed by a family. Yet we aim at being available for our clients at all times and beyond when necessary.   Regarding the continental breakfast it is an extra service, thus normally not included in the room price. Guests are free to take it and can decide the night before. About Mats and wife, they didn't choose to have nor tasted the breakfast. Therefore, their comments on the quality of the breakfast are remarkable and unfair. so we find extrange they affirmation "rather miserable" They took coffe and tea several times during the stay still tea bags to take away free served for the hotel. In relation to the temperature, it will certainly be difficult to warm up the room when you keep the door balcony open with the heating ON for sure the warm will go out and the fresh will come in, still. Furthermore, the second time the clients complaint on the matter, we took a picture of the temperature shown in the thermometer, it corresponded to temperature were 20 degrees, Celsius then proved from a picture we take the second time they complain. Remember it was march 22 degrees outside. Prices are public and any one is free to pick according to your own possibilities the hotel and quality room. We wish to highlight that Mats were assigned a room with fantastic panoramic view and a balcony for a price lower than the normal fee and they were informed in advance about the sort of service provided at the hotel since they had stayed with us in the past, again prices are the value you feel is a deal for you

Hello Todd, thank you for your pleasant review which allows us to clarify some simple concepts regarding our Palazzina Veneziana and the service of a B&B in general.Nobody told her that the taxi from the airport was free, it's a service that even 5 star hotels in Venice don't do. When she called for information we explained that arriving very late in the evening she could take either a taxi car or a taxi boat.As our beautiful Tatiane explained to her, the canals in Venice ARE ROADS, boats are the means of transport that are used in Venice instead of cars, so any room that is located exactly above a canal enjoys the pleasant view but suffers from the passage of boats. Vaporetti are water buses. I understand that it is difficult/strange for a person who is not used to it but you also have to understand, inform and respect the place you visit.As for the room change, it was not possible to do so because all the canal view rooms were occupied, she could decide to buy the superior room but she claimed to have the room with the terrace for free.We're sorry for your disappointment, and we wish you a good day.Lucia/Executive Manager

Chère Marie, Nous vous remercions pour votre commentaire bienvenu, il est vrai que la chambre Rialto, vue sur le canal de couleur rouge, est située exactement au-dessus du canal et jouit d’une vue unique sur le Palais Labia et le Pont des Guglie, mais étant juste au-dessus du canal il souffre du passage des bateaux dès les premières heures du matin. A Venise les canaux sont des «routes» donc il est normal qu’il y ait du trafic, pour votre prochain séjour nous vous conseillons une vue sur le canal plus calme et de couleur verte. Bonne journée.
