The first features a cosy double bed, and it's in this room that the cottage's rich history truly comes to life, with a fascinating wig cupboard, ornate dark wooden wall panelling and feature fireplace. Original writing on the wall, dating back to 1756, adds to the cottage's historical charm, and a small section of glass showcases the scratched inscription of John Whitworth, a reminder of days long past.
