“A great place if you wana drive down the night before your cruise as its close to the terminal! Nice freindly staff, food exellent! The room was basic but clean as was the bathroom. We where in a downstairs room so we had noisy upstairs occupants so when they walked across the room you could hear the footsteps and floorboards creaking! Fire alarm went off in the early hours but that cant be helped! Not a bad stay and i would stay there again. Highly recommend the fish&chips👌”

“Property is set back away from the road with trees and garden, very quiet , and relaxing . Jean is a lovely lady making us very welcome, plenty of knowledge of the local area. Room was very comfortable, patio tables outside to be able to sit and chill. We had a lovely breakfast in the granary chatting to Jean a lovely friendly lady. Would recommend .”

“The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes”

“The cottage seems to be recently refurbished provides most of the modern facilities but without luxury. The house is warm and have all the necessary to cook and stay like home. You have even dishwasher, washing machine and convenient drier. The surrounding provides walk paths by the coast. Note that you can not access directly the beach as there is a cliff, you need to walk a mile or so so access the sea shore.
