Anchors Away
The house was excellent. The area was amazing. April was very helpful with instructions on how to check in and provide some of the rules of the house. April was also very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and things in the area. I would recommend this house to anyone that is looking to spend time at a place that is on the waterfront.

Wonderful stay
This house is exceptional…..beautifully decorated. All the beds in the four bedrooms are comfortable and we all slept well. The kitchen is a chefs kitchen and has everything you could need. The back porch was spotless with a nice swing, table and chairs and couch. The patio has a fireplace which would have been great to use if cooler weather. The one question we had the whole weekend was responded to by text immediately. I feel good about giving this home a five star rating.

Fabulous Stay!
The house was beautiful and the perfect size for our group of 12. Communication with the owner was easy and they were always available for questions. We were able to rent a pontoon that picked us up at the dock. The house had a lot of indoor and outdoor games, bluetooth speakers, and plenty of lounging space. We all loved it!

Top Quality place
This was a wonderful place to just chill out for us older crowd but there was plenty to do for kids, too! It seems they had thought of everything you’d need. So many amenities. TV in every room as well as screened porch. Ceiling fans on screened in porch and also fans on the dock. It seemed there was always a breeze. Both coffee maker and Keurig, toaster, blender, rice cooker. Top grade kitchen- but you do have to bring your own bagged ice - no ice maker in fridge. Beds were soooo comfy! There was a lot of comfortable seating for everybody. The owners were very responsive to our questions and/or needs. Easy to communicate with. We will be back. Highly recommend!!

LSU GRADUATION
Stunningly easy, beautiful and relaxing!! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Anchors Away!!!! As an out of state family of an LSU tiger, we were looking for a place to gather for graduation. This place was perfect!!! Everyone from grandparents to our grad to our younger daughter loved it here!!

A beautiful Lakehouse!
We loved the Anchors Away Lakehouse on the False River. The house was beautiful and the views were incredible! The owners were so nice and accommodating. We can’t wait to go back!

Short Girls Trip
We enjoyed every moment of our stay in this beautiful place. We had coffee in the morning and wine in the evening on the wonderful back screened in porch over looking False River. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything you could possibly need.

Exceptional visit
We were four elderly sisters from various parts of the country. Getting together was very important to us. The visit was a huge success--largely due to the house itself. It was very clean, beautifully decorated, and had several different "gathering" places. The screened in porch was the best--great views and comfortable. We walked out of the pier a number of times and especially loved watching the sunset. The beds were comfortable and all appliances worked well. New Roads and St. Francisville were close by and fun to visit. We would definitely return to the house and give it a five star rating.

The property and home could not have been any more comfortable and beautiful than it was. The home owners were so kind and helpful! I literally have nothing negative to say about this listing. I could have just lived on the screened in porch with coffee in hand the entire weekend! This house helped make our weekend one to be remembered!

The Great Escape!
Visited this place to celebrate my 50th birthday. Home was as exactly as pictured! Clean, well-stocked with extra linens, blankets, towels, pots, pans, utensils, etc. It didn't feel like we were in Louisiana. We are still talking about our stay. We ate, fished and had smores at the outdoor fireplace. The only regret I have, is that I only booked for 2 nights. The time spent with family was priceless and Anchors Aweigh made it unforgettable!!!

We absolutely loved this lake house on False River. It was the perfect setting for our belated holiday gathering. It was beautiful, and comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were super comfortable to sleep in. The outside fireplace and pier added more gathering places to enjoy and fish. The owner was super easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions and concerns in a timely manner.

Absolutely Wonderful
We rented this home to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday with our grown children and grandchildren. It was even better than we had expected. Everything was so top-end, decorated so nicely, very very clean. The owner was so pleasant and easy to work with. I would (and have) recommended this vacation spot to anyone and everyone!!! ENJOY!!!

Great Place!
We really enjoyed our time here. The house is upscale and had everything we needed. The interior design is really well done (for those who care—it really did make it feel nice). The dock in the backyard was perfect for fishing (we caught catfish) and for watching the beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the lake. We loved it.

Our stay can be summed up in one word WOW!!
I don’t normally write reviews for places I’ve rented over the past 30 years but Anchors Aweigh was simply spectacular. The home and decor are gorgeous. The home was spacious and so well equipped with everything you need for a family gathering and memorable getaway. It’s unusual to find a rental that is truly better than the pictures but this is the place. The home was super clean and comfortable. The outdoor space and fishing pier were great too! We fished and enjoyed watching the ducks on the lake. Can’t say enough good things about our stay. We will definitely be back!
