Borgo Vico: History Between Lake and Mountains



Looking for relaxation and authenticity? Welcome to Borgo Vico. This traditional stone house, now a charming 60 sqm chalet, is set in a hillside village with stunning views of Lake Mezzola and a glimpse of Lake Como. The local granite, once used by our grandparents to store chestnuts for flour and wine barrels from the valley, adds unique character.



Ideal for couples or families (up to 3 guests) to explore Valchiavenna, Valtellina, and the Upper Lake Como area. Its strategic location lets you reach Switzerland and St. Moritz, the famous Crotti of Chiavenna, the Acquafraggia Waterfalls with Prosto’s traditional biscuits, the villages of Lake Como (Bellagio, Varenna, Villa Carlotta), or Tirano for the Bernina Red Train.



Two-level layout:

Upstairs: double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and lake-view balcony.

Downstairs: living room with single sofa bed and equipped kitchen.



Comfort & Bike Area:

Wi-Fi, TV, fan (no air conditioning), gym equipment, cot and high chair. Cyclists are welcome: we offer repair kits, bike wash, and maintenance. The perfect base for epic climbs like the legendary Spluga Pass or Maloja Pass.



Outdoors & Relaxation:

Private garden, two balconies, and panoramic terrace with loungers and umbrella for breakfast, starlit dinners, or sunset aperitifs, plus homegrown herbs.



Location & Adventure:

5 minutes by car from the lake and SS36. Perfect for hiking (Val Codera, Tracciolino), sports like sailing and windsurfing, and cycling on the Valchiavenna and Valtellina bike paths.

Note: in the historic village, accessible via a mountain road (narrow in places) with free private parking.
