The Muin a Ventu was a remarable place to stay. Lots of historic charm, and the view over Vernazza and the Ligurian sea was beautiful. Especially at sunset. Comfortable bed on the main floor, with great cross breezes (no AC). We stayed for six days in September, with a daytime temperature of 26 and nighttime of 19 - perfect. Two levels of garden. All very casual. The kitchen had enough stuff to function just fine.
132 steps from the main street to the tower, through the town. You have to be ready for up and down in Cinque Terre!
The only downside is that the path to Corniglia wraps around the tower, and one of the best views of Vernazza is directly above the garden. So there is an unending flow of hikers right beside and above you. We got used to the multilingual chat about the beautiful view, but we were definitely on display.
The property managers in Vernazza (Cinqueterrerentals) were helpful with questions, and helped carry the bags up the first day, to help find the tower.
