Vi havde lejet hele huset, da vi var tre generationer afsted, og det fungerede super godt. Huset ligger tæt på den lille hyggelige Marina med flere spisesteder med fin udsigt over havnen. Fra husets tagterrasse er der fantastisk udsigt til Vesuv og solnedgangen. Selve huset var velfungerende, og modtagelsen ved ankomsten var virkeligt god - vi følte os meget velkomne. Der masser af service og køkkenudstyr, sengene var gode, og værten var meget behjælpelig med at skaffe ekstra højstol, babyseng og klapvogn, da vi kom med tvillinger på 8 mdr. Alt i alt en dejlig uge i et smukt område og et godt hus, som vi gerne besøger igen.

The host was excellent with quick communication. He was helpful in coordinating excursions and providing information regarding transportation around the town. The views were beautiful, especially from the rooftop. We were there during the end of the tourist season and part of the official “off season” which made getting to and from the city center, the train station and other towns more challenging. Staying by the marina, there are lots of food and drink options during the season, and a bus that ran frequently to get to town center and the train. During the off season, not so much. However, this does not take away from the house, we just learned quickly how to travel around better! There is a 2 star Michelin restaurant within a 5 minute walk from the apartments which we HIGHLY recommend spoiling yourself and splurging on the experience. It was INCREDIBLE. We had a lovely and unforgettable experience. 10/10 would recommend this properly and host!

We brought 8 people and rented Apartments A and B, which was perfect for our group. Fabio is such a great host. Well before our trip, he helped organize boat excursions and transportation throughout our stay. His nephew checked us in and gave us a little tour of the town. Fabio and Gisella came to greet us and brought us pastries and were very kind and gracious hosts. Vico Equense is a perfectly peaceful location and close to various modes of transportation. We were able to visit Amalfi, Positano, Capri, Sorrento, Naples and Rome (by bullet train) during our stay. The rooftop was an amazing place to relax after a long day and admire the views and sunset. We also were able to visit 1 of the 2 Michelin star restaurants in Vico. Highly recommend this area and this host!

Large Family Group

Our large group utilized the entire villa. There was plenty of space for everyone. We especially loved the rooftop terrace. The villa is in a quiet area. A little walk down the street for waterside restaurants or pastries and coffee in the morning. And the walk up the street, it is easier than it looks, to the Seiano station makes it easy to get to Sorrento. We enjoyed our stay and Fabio was very easy to communicate with and very helpful with insights about the neighborhood.

Excellent location, excellent hosts

Overall we would stay here again: Vico Equense is a gem of a location, away from the tourist noise, local with its own beach which was clean and right down the road. Fabio was amazing and set up both van service from Rome to the destination and back again for a party of 7, and also a full day boat tour of capri and Amalfi coast: the pier is right down the road from the house so it was easy, I can’t say enough good things about Fabio!

Best trip ever!

We loved the property! All of the rooms were put together so nicely and made us feel very at home. The terrace on the roof was our favorite spot and has an amazing view. Fabio and all his family that greeted us were extremely kind and gracious. We could not have found a better place to stay. We would love to come back again in the future!

Everything we needed!

We were a large group of 9 and rented all three apartments which was more than enough space for us to spread out (we had a hard time finding a rental with at least 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, so this was perfect). Fabio provided excellent communication and was so helpful setting up transportation for us to and from Naples as well as two private boat rentáis to Capri and the Amalfi coast. Those were definitely relaxing highlights after the busyness of Rome! Fabio was unable to meet us at check in, but his charming nephew provided us a warm welcome and tour of the surrounding area. The house is a very short walk to wonderful restaurants, a small public beach, and the marina. It was a little challenging figuring out how to get to the town center to catch the train (not quite as walkable as I had thought), but we only needed to do that one day. I am already missing the rooftop where we ended each night with beautiful views!

Great house, amazing views, close to water and restaurants

Fabio was a great host. He greeted us and gave us the lay of the land, showing us around the house and the little town. He left some drinks and food to get us started and even set us up with a local boat company for private boat rentals to/around Capri. Our group visited many nearby towns (Amalfi, Capri, Sorrento and Positano) and we all agreed that we preferred Vico Equense to all of them. It wasn’t crowded and we had everything we needed in walking distance. Would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would change is improving the WiFi (I’m not sure if this is the house, location of the world or number of people using it…we had 19 people staying there).

Flott opphold i Vico Equense

Vi var til sammen 16 barn og voksne som hadde en fin uke i Villa Bouganville. Kort vei til gratisstrender og sjarmerende trapper opp til sentrum. Strålende utsikt over Napolibukta og båtlivet der. Enkel korrespondanse med til Nspoli og Sorrento med tog og buss. Etter en dag i Sorrento satte vi enda større pris på dette fredelige stedet. Flott der, men utrolig mye turister. Fabio svarte umiddelbart på alle spørsmål vi måtte ha. Takk for oss.

Fabulous Town and Accommodations

The property is just as described. It has a rustic charm which is exactly as we had hoped. The town was quaint but with excellent restaurants and even multiple michelin star restaurants for those who want a world class dining experience.

If you are debating staying in Vico Equense or some of the larger Amalfi coast towns, don’t hesitate! We were 3 families traveling from the US and the three apartments were perfect for what we needed. The waterfront is a 2 minute walk with plenty of quaint restaurants and quiet streets, the view from the roof top was stunning. Take advantage of Fabio’s many contacts and hire Alex to drive you anywhere you need to go, Additionally if you want to visit Amalfi, Capri or any other local hot spots, Fabio can give you the name of a boat charter that leaves right from the water front. There is a train stop about a 10-15 minute walk that will take you directly to Pompeii as well. Fabio and Giselle were the warmest and friendliest VRBO hosts we have ever had, I don’t know when we’ll be fortunate to return, but I’ll be dreaming about this trip and this stunning location until then.

An amazing location and villa for large groups

Our vacation was at its highest high because we had an amazing beautiful villa who hosted 17 of us comfortably. Every person had a pillow to rest their heads and a bed to rejuvenate their soul for our next excursion. The villa was very clean and had all the westernized accommodations you’d have back home. Great location if your visiting Capri, Sorrento. Amalfi coast, Positano Pompei , and Naples. Very safe

We had a wonderful stay in this villa in Vico Equense. Highly recommend, especially with a big group

This was the perfect place for our group of 12. Plenty of room in a very unique villa. We loved the rooftop and the outdoor cooking area. When we first got there we were nervous about how we would get around the area. Bruno, Fabio's nephew was great and showed us around the Marina and town. We felt very comfortable and safe in the villa. The only thing that I would have liked would be better hot water supplies for the shower. Fabio is a fantastic host. He made suggestions for restaurants, he set up our boat trip to Capri with a private boat and skipper, he also arranged transportation for our large group for the next part of our trip to Rome. We loved the small town around the marina. I highly recommend this villa in Vico Equense for a truly authentic and non-touristy experience.

Wonderful Location for an Amalfi Coast Visit

Our group of 10 enjoyed our stay here very much! The location is less than a mile from the train station which will take you quickly (10 minutes) into Sorrento, where you can catch a ferry to any village on the Amalfi Coast. In addition, it's only a 5 minute walk down to the harbor where you can get a meal on the waterfront. We also visited the small camp store down at the harbor where we were able to get staples (coke, cookies, etc.). Overall, a great choice if you want to be near the Amalfi Coast without having to drive to it! We definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful villa in great location

Owner (Fabio) was very responsive from start to finish and very helpful providing local information and details. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful villa. The roof terrazza has an incredible view with great sunsets. We would love to come back here someday!
