A jewel in Victoria Falls
It was awesome. They are doing a great job, from Enochs pick up at the airport, smiling and on time, to Blessing and Olli's continued help and professionalism at the front desk. Also the staff do a fantastic job keeping the place sparkling clean which can be hard to do in a hostel! We were very happy there and can recommend it wholeheartedly!

Thank you for the review, good news! you definitely do not need to bring drinking water, we partnered with ecodrop, an awesome new initiative in Victoria Falls. We have a cold, refreshing water refill station in our reception are, were you can also do you part for the environment and not use single plastic.

Friendly staff that organized all my transfers and activities, easy to meet people but still have privacy...nice pool area and good breakfast. Walk to town about 2km, so not that far and there is a shop 1km away too for basics. Worked out better to pre book a pickup from the airport.

C'est juste une étape pour voir les chutes victoria pour moi une nuit c'est largement suffisant. L'hôtel vous propose un transfert de 40$ jusqu'à Kasane. Mais j'ai trouvé à 30$ jusqu'à la frontière et si vous trouvez quelqu'un pour partager le taxi cela vous reviendra encore moins cher. pour faire les 8km jusqu'à kasane et non pas 25km comme le pretend la manager de la frontière a kazan J'aie payé 5$. Les chutes sont super belle pour prendre des superbe photo , visitez les chutes dans l'après midi

Nice affordable place to stay
We had a wonderful time in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Falls backpackers lodge. They picked us up just like we scheduled and we felt very comfortable in their peaceful grounds and rustic rooms. Their outside pool and patio is very relaxing.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Customer service was really good as most our excursions were booked through hostel...we had everything booked prior to arrival. Buying groceries was not easy and they really get you on exchange for credit card (US cash not accepted). Pool was very refreshing as the 38 degree temp and no A/C was tough on us older folks and we finally caved after 3 nights and got a room with AC. I would of liked filter coffee just to get my day going. Overall if you are into hostels I would recommend this Backpackers

hello, thank you for your review, we are not really sure if you experienced a problem booking transport with us, if you did we are really sorry to hear this..... we have very reliable transport services with prices as follows: We can arrange transfers for you for: From Victoria Falls Airport (27 km) US$15 per person one way From Livingstone Airport -Zambia (35 km – border) US$30 per person one way (min. 2 pax) From Kasane Airport or town - Botswana (110 km) US$45 per person one way We will need the following flight details: *Airport, *Flight number, *Arrival Time – to book and confirm your airport transfers!

Stayed two nights. No water and power on the first night until 10pm. Water ran very weak and had times with no water. Did not wash hair for two days. Other than that it is a lovely place to stay with its peaceful and quiet. It is not close to city centre. Need to take taxi, appr. 5USD each trip.

Thank you for your review! We are happy you enjoyed the peace and the quiet at our place! Taxi to town during the is US$3 per taxi Taxi to the Falls anytime is US$5 per taxi Taxi to Town at night is US$5 per taxi Unfortunately the country is currently being affected by shortage of Electricity which also affects our water supply from time to time. When there is no electricity if the water suppliers have no fuel etc to run generators etc to pump the water then that is when there is no water. The Electricty cuts are temporary and power and water are usually back by 10-11pm if power is switched off in the afternoon and by approx 3pm when power is switched off in the morning! It is safe to travel and you will enjoy our beautiful country.

It was evident that management really cared about the experience their guests would have. No matter how busy, they were cheerful, helpful and always took time to answer questions as well as provide information and help arrange activities in the area. The whimsical touches throughout the property were delightful. It was easy to meet and have conversations with other guests which resulted in several activities we felt lucky to hear about and participate in.

Rooms and premises are alright, but they charge 3 US Dollars per day (!!!) for the WiFi.

thank you for your review, yes for the wifi for us to ensure the best we had to install the best wifi which if you would like to use is US$3 per person per day, we did use to have the other package which was free but unfortunately as soon as more than 5 or so people got connected it would start to slow down with this wifi for US$3 person per day we can connect any number of people, the speed is much faster than the other one and the speed is always the same

Much nicer and more spacious than the average hos.
Nice laidback hostel place. Ensuite baths nice feature for a hostel. Big surprise was the fish spa, worked well on dry calloused feet👍 The meal service was a little uneven, but IT’S A HOSTEL.

Very comfortable and fun backpackers
Very comfortable and friendly backpackers. The Darter Room is small but nice - although it would benefit from better separation between the bed area and the bathroom as the two are more or less wide open. Lots of interesting stuff around the place itself (like a fish spa and hammocks) that were fun to use. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is generally good although additional payment is necessary. Rooms get hot but can be cooled down sufficiently using a fan. Wifi is good but very annoyingly requires a payment of $3 per person per day, which is almost unheard of even in budget hotels these days. Location is not bad - far from the main area (though this is true of most hotels in Victoria Falls) and is very safe and quiet.

What an awesome backpackers. The staff were BEYOND helpful during our stay. They organized everything we asked them to. Very friendly people and the place was so unique. Would definitely suggest to friends!
