âPerfect place to stay for a solo or couple to stay for 1-3 nights. Excellent location! All kinds of restaurants and amenities within walking distance. Only drawback no elevator, rooms are up some steep stairs. Not recommended for elderly or disabled. Otherwise felt like I was staying in a charming boutique hotel in Europe. â

Very quiet area of San Francisco right next to Golden Gate Park, but it's 2 blocks from muni so you can get downtown (or almost anywhere else) in about 15 minutes. I also love the historical character of the building. Highly recommend this hotel for people looking for the slower, less touristy side of San Francisco.â

âWe enjoyed our stay and easy access to transportation. Struggled a bit to figure out BART but everyone was helpful to point you in the right direction. The hotel had a beautiful Rooftop/Bar and it overlooks Oracle Park and SF Bay, and even spotted a few Giants players there. â

âEvery hotel employee that we interacted with was polite and friendly. Check-in and valet parking were seamless as was check out. Truly a lovely stay in an elegant hotel.â
âIt was great as always, the valet upon arrival was somewhat difficult and the man in the valet front did not seem too interested in helping us, maybe he was overwhelmed? The police had to come ask us to move because we were blocking the way. There was a lot of cars waiting to be parked and we were not told where to go. They just said park anywhere and we will get to it. Other than that, this hotel is perfect.â

"Hotel with great view on Van Ness, next to california cable car stop leading to port of SFr. Nearby Polk street is nice for restaurants etc. Had a room enclosing the elevator shaft and the noice from was strong. However, I had for some reason no problem sleeping. The good bed might have helped. The restaurant wasnt that that great but there are many nice places around. "
