"What a fantastic stay on this beautiful farm we had! There are sheep and goats on the property, and everything was clean and lovely! The views are spectacular and the houses are clean, charming and comfortable! We were 6 friends traveling together and all absolutely loved this gorgeous property and wonderful hosts. Definitely do not miss having Monica cook for you – it was one of our highlights for sure! She prepared the most delicious 4 course dinner made with fresh, local ingredients, her homemade cheeses, and wine from a friend's vineyard! We were only sad we hadn’t arranged for her to cook another meal for us. As other reviewers note, be aware that the internet is spotty (which actually allowed us to just disconnect more fully while there :-). Also be aware if you use heat, that you will be charged separately for that, and it is best if you have cash to pay the day you leave, and it is quite expensive. The place is even better than in the pictures and I would go back again (and again) in a heartbeat and stay even longer (and have Monica cook more meals)! Grazie, Monica and Giovanni!"

"Our extended family of 22, including an infant and two toddlers, stayed in this beautiful, well appointed villa in the hills above Lucca during the Christmas holiday. The villa was perfect for multiple couples / families as there were clusters of rooms with a common area located throughout the two story villa which allowed for privacy. Every room had its own bathroom as well. The home and rooms were beautifully decorated. The views and grounds were spectacular. The host and owner were extremely responsive to our questions and needs throughout our stay. The lovely historic town of Lucca was a short drive away. There were markets, restaurants and wineries near the villa as well. The indoor pool and sauna were well used by our group. The host provided many recommendations including a cooking class by Tamara done at the villa — it was a great experience for the group! Also I highly recommend the wine tour and lunch at a nearby local organic winery and olive oil farm at Frattoria Colle Verde. I highly recommend this Villa."

"The stay was excellent and a great retreat for our family! Mario’s communication & hospitality was excellent & the villa was very clean & even more beautiful than the photos. We had 4 generations of family and everyone enjoyed the experience. We meant to do more sightseeing, but frankly everyone wanted more time just being together as a family. The views were amazing & both the pool & hot tub were enjoyed. The family even enjoyed a competition of ping pong. One of everyone’s highlights was when local Chefs came & cooked an unbelievable 3 course dinner with appetizers & deserts - we highly recommend. We are very thankful to Mario for sharing their place so we could build many happy family memories."

"The location is stunning. The photos are exactly what the sunsets and sunrises look like. We had 4 couples and 2 toddlers 3 and 1 years old. The layout of the house is such that everyone had plenty of space and separation as well as there were various places to gather. We had great dinners outdoors, days lounging at home by the pool. I looked at hundreds of places for a pool far from the house and with enough obstacles to deter the children/ enable pool safety plus indoor stair rails. Villa Fizz was the best. Highly recommend. Minor note those who an automatic car tackled the steep, very narrow driveway best. Thanks Daniela for being a responsive, friendly host"

"This property honestly exceeded our expectations. Fantastic facilities, lovely shared pool with specially assigned seating for only a few other guests. All the staff we dealt with were super helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our wine and olive oil tasting with Erika. The restaurant associated with the property - Osteria del Vecchio Olivo is authentic and good value. Only a 5 minute walk up the hill to picturesque Montecarlo which has lots of good restaurants. Thoroughly recommend this family run agriturismo!"
