Sundaze – Cozy 1 Bedroom Cottage Near Delaware Bay with Hot Tub & Fireplace

Sundaze is a peaceful and comfortable 1-bedroom cottage offering the perfect blend of relaxation, convenience, and Cape May charm. The main level includes a private queen bedroom, full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, dining area with fireplace views, and a cozy living room with reclining seating and a see-through gas fireplace. A bright 3-season enclosed porch provides additional space for reading, coffee, or quiet evenings.

Although listed as a 1-bedroom for pricing and search optimization, Sundaze also offers two additional upstairs guest rooms (a full bed and a twin room) that can be opened when needed for families or small groups.

Base rate includes 2 guests. Additional guests are welcome for a small nightly fee.

Outdoors, guests enjoy a fully fenced backyard with patio dining, propane grill, chiminea, fire pit, and a 96-jet hot tub available year-round. Whether unwinding after a day in Cape May or enjoying a quiet evening at the cottage, this home provides everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Located just a short walk from the Delaware Bay—known for its stunning sunsets, calm shoreline, and seasonal wildlife—Sundaze sits in a quiet residential neighborhood only 10–15 minutes from Cape May beaches, restaurants, wineries, breweries, the zoo, and popular attractions. It offers the privacy of a peaceful coastal retreat with quick access to everything in the area.

A wonderfully relaxing spring stay

We rented Sundaze to take advantage of my son's spring break. It was very well kitted, with everything we needed for our stay. The fenced-in yard was perfect for a pet-friendly VRBO and a real bonus. Our hosts did a great job thinking through the space and providing what you needed. The place itself is cute, clean and spacious. One thing to note - and it is not at all an issue of Sundaze - the bay side is great for walks but not particularly conducive to getting in the water (muddy, etc.). Something to be aware of if you're not familiar with the area.

My wife and I completely enjoyed our stay at this charming home. It was very clean and comfortable. The hot tub in February was fantastic, and the fireplace is a great touch. The hosts were very accommodating. You will enjoy your stay here.

Good way to start the New Year

Great getaway

My husband and I stayed for our baby moon with our two dogs. We love the location close to the beach and close enough to downtown cape May. The house had everything you could need for humans and dogs. A great backyard with tons of fenced in yard was also a plus. The house was very clean and we felt right at home. Would definitely stay again!

Extended Weekend get away

A really nice cottage in a quite neighborhood. Nice area to take the dog for a walk. Really nice kitchen and appliances. Bed rooms only had full size and twin beds. Would have been nice to have a Queen or bigger in one bedroom. TV remote was awkward but we connected PS4 to an aux output and used that for streaming apps and games. The yard is very nice. Hot tub worked great. Picnic table, grill, sitting area all good. Short walk to view the water but not much of a beach to walk. Short tracks of beach with lots of dead horse shoe crabs, brush and some trash. Not a long drive to better beach area, shops and restaurants.

Perfect beach cottage!

We were in desperate need of a quiet getaway! Away from the hustle and bustle of Washington DC. Anthony and Lyn are the best hosts!!! The home was literally outfitted with everything down to dog towels and toys! No need to bring your own linens, hair dryer, soaps, coffee, sugar, spices, grill tools. When I say that we wanted for nothing, I mean it! The backyard has a hot tub, plenty of seating, a patio heater, and corn hole. The grass was clean! In spite of being in the middle of a disaster area in Florida from Hurricane Helene, Anthony and Lyn communicated with us and were a HUGE help when we needed to extend our stay due to a transportation hiccup. We will absolutely stay at their property again! We highly recommend Baygetaways!!!!

Great getaway

The house was very clean and the layout was comfortable. With the open layout, we could still be together if someone was in the kitchen or living room. The appliances are new and well maintained. The A/C units and ceiling fans kept the house comfortable. Our dog really enjoyed running around in the yard and walks down to the bay. The beach tags were great so we could enjoy time at Cape May beach, which was just a short drive away. The hot tub was also great at night to relax. The back yard was nice to play yard games and just relax. We would definitely come back again.

Fantastic Experience despite the weather

Charming Beach Cottage

It was the perfect little getaway for a few nights at the beach! Lots of amenities. The hot tub was our favorite part! Only recommendation would be a shade on the front door for a touch more privacy

Very clean nicely kept property short bike ride to beach

House was in a great location. Everything was 20 mins or less from the house: Wildwood, Cape May downtown area, the zoo, the ferry, or even aviation museum. The hot tub was really nice. The neighborhood is quiet. The house was super clean. Slight issue with check in that was resolved rather quickly.
