We loved our time in this apartment. It has great amenities, large spaces and is in a great location for access to markets, bus, restaurants and local sights of the area. It is just outside Avignon but we loved that! It is a peaceful town and all the shops for what you need are within a few blocks. Large grocery is further to walk but we didn’t need that. Very easy check in and host was quick to respond but really didn’t have much to contact her about! Such a beautiful spot!

The property is very well located with easy access to restaurants, boulangeries and grocery stores. The house is renovated and generally well equipped. There are a few things to notice. The bathroom a bit dysfunctional as the toilet is at the entrance of the house with no basin and the shower spills all over the place. Some of the windows don’t close at all and need to be fixed. AC is only on one of the bedrooms. The parking is street parking and please note there are certain days the closest parking lot becomes a market in its entirety, you will be towed if you leave your car anywhere on that parking lot contrary to the information that was provided to us.

We loved our stay in Helene’s apartment. Such a beautiful authentic apartment in the heart of Villeneuve. The apartment has everything you need, Villeneuve is a gorgeous village with all amenities close by. It’s an easy 10 minutes on the bus to the heart of Avignon. Helene was a wonderful host, so very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend staying here as a base to visit Provence.

A beautiful spot near Avignon

Helene is an amazing host. She was communicative, friendly and even met us at the apartment at 1:30am when our flight was delayed. The apartment is in the middle of Villeneuve-Les-Avignon, about 5 minutes drive from old town Avignon, close to shops, restaurants, and free parking. The apartment itself is charming with comfortable accommodations and lovely decorative details. I would definitely stay here again.

Also ein sehr angenehmes Urlaubsdomizil. Au revoir.

My wife & I stayed here for 8 nights in Late June 2026 during very hot & dry weather. Helene was a friendly & helpful host and communication with her was very clear & prompt. The property is located in Villeneuve Les Avignon which is just across the river from the main town and has a lot of its own attractions such as the Fort, Tower, Abbey, cathedral and some museums. The property is located in the very centre & is only a short 5 min walk & 10 min bus ride on the local No.5 bus to Avignon old town, across the Rhone bridge. Avignon is beautiful with numerous sights to see, including the papal palace, gardens, churches and cathedral. Abundant, free & secure parking is only 5 min walk away from the apartment. There are numerous restaurants, bars, cafes and a supermarket & bakery within 2 min walk from the apartment. There is a large Carrefour supermarket only 10 min drive away and they have regular antique & fresh food markets in the parking area nearby. The apartment is two bedroom & very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom with washer & drier. The air-con in the bedroom is brilliant in hot weather & the bed is very comfortable. the view from the rooms is over a quaint square, bar/restaurant below & the cathedral. There is no lift, however the one flight of stairs were quite easy to navigate. We felt very safe in the apartment & old town of Villeneuve. We would recommend to any couple or family. Merci beaucoup Helene James & Sharon (Australia)

Lovely apartment

A perfect location for our time in Provence. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. There was free parking a few minutes down the street and the #5 bus was an easy trip into Avignon. The flea and produce markets in Villenuve were the best that we'd encountered in our travels and a lovely little grocery across from the apartment. The locals are friendly and helpful. The only reason we didn't give it a 5 star is that it's also situated on a main street in Villeneuve and next to a restaurant that's open 7 days a week. Wouldn't be so much of an issue if you kept the windows closed. Merci beaucoup Helene.

The apartment is as the photos show, spacious and well appointed art work. Has the classic stone spiral stairs to 1st floor, as always the steps are to small. A small balcony for 2, over looking a busy local bistro for locals, a little loud up until 11:30 usually. Unfortunately, the apartment lists as air conditioned, but is only in 1 bedroom, a fan for the other bedroom. With all the windows upon, you can get a breeze thru that is sufficient. Parking is “The Game” everyone plays locals & visitors alike. The only real issue we had was with the TV, a very complicated affair. Our Host had to send someone to show us the process & change the remote batteries. But, still had a stubborn streak as to when it wished to be active. Otherwise a good place for two. In the middle of Villeneauve, just a classic.

Schönes Appartment mitten in Villeneuve-les-Avignon

Empfehlenswert!

Wonderful visit to Provence!

The apartment was the perfect location from which to explore Avignon and the surrounding region. It was clean, well stocked with kitchen supplies and nice linens, and larger than I expected based on the photos. We had a very comfortable stay as a family of 4. We particularly enjoyed staying in Villeneuve-les-Avignon, which had the feel of a small town with all the essentials (boulangerie, marché, restaurants) without the bustle of a big city. I would definitely recommend this little gem for anyone coming to the region!

Wonderful apartment in Villeneuve/Avignon

This is one of the best VRBOs that my family has ever stayed in. The pictures on the listing do not do it justice. Stylishly furnished apartment in the historic town of Villeneuve, right in the middle of sights, restaurants, etc. Extremely well furnished with high end appliances and furniture. We could have easily stayed here a month. Helen was extremely helpful and friendly. Villeneuve is a short bus ride, or 20 min walk across the bridge to Avignon, and is a great place to be based in. A little less busy and noisy than Avignon, but still plenty to do. The market on Thursday is one of the more beautiful we've seen in Europe.
