The friendliness’s of all the staff was above and beyond anything experienced in other hotels and countries. I arrived a visitor and left feeling like a local friend. The quality of the food and drink was second to none and the accommodation was spotless. We can’t wait to return in summer.

Just about ok for a short stay.
We stayed for only one night to attend a wedding, so further comment is not possible, other than to say that the staff were friendly and efficient.

Absolutely AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL - Unclean, Rude Staff
We were overcharged by the hotel and refused a refund. The room was awful with fake tan and hairs (of a certain kind) all over the bathroom. There were flies in the restaurant - one guest commented they should serve the food with a swot. When we asked the hotel for a refund of the extra they had charged us they refused. Not because they believed they had given us the correct room but because according to them we should have notified them earlier. After thoroughly disinfecting the room with wipes (Seems OTT I know but well needed!) we were not going to change room to clean again. Asking for the couple of extra quid we paid extra back was by no means unreasonable but to this hotel it was. Terrible staff and very unclean! AVOID!

Great place for the money.
I enjoyed my stay here. My Irish family is from the Coolkill, Derrylea townships near Virginia and this was a perfect location to visit friends and family without intruding on their homes personally. The views of the lake are spectacular here. The food and drinks at the bar were excellent.

Best ever!
This hotel was one of the best we have ever stayed in. The owners were right there to greet us and to help us with any needs. The breakfast was definitely the very best we have had at any hotel anywhere. Lovely views of Lough Ramor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Managers of every other hotel should spend a couple of nights at this hotel to see how it should be done.

Excellent
Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Food was really nice. Lovely surroundings and lovely atmosphere over the few days we stayed. Very enjoyable night with the karaoke on Sunday.Would definitely recommend this hotel. Really enjoyed our stay.

Not impressed with the room
The views of the lake are breathe taking, the public area of the hotel very nice and looks quite recently decorated however, our room was old and tired and the bed was the lowest I have ever seen! The food was nice and fresh cooked although the use of frozen oven chips was very disappointing.

Overall ok
Stayed here in March whilst in the area on business. Ultimately I would stay at this hotel again, but I have stayed in other hotels in the general area that I prefer. The plus points: Lovely location - right on a huge Loch, which must be stunning in Summer. The food was very nice. Service was generally very good and the hotel is reasonably priced. The negatives: A bit dated, especially the room. My room was noisey as i looked onto a main road, plus had an adjoining door to the next room, which meant i could hear the person next to me. I initially had some problems with the wi-fi, but was ok once I was connected. Otherwise the room was clean and fairly comfortable and although I had a few small issues and have stayed in other hotels not too far away, I would stay at this hotel on business again

The manager and her staff were amazing! They seemed a little short on help but we only noticed because the manager seemed to be everywhere at once, answering our questions at the front desk; filling our drink order at the bar and our food order in the restaurant. She was truly amazing and the rest of the staff followed suit. They could not have been more kind or helpful! The view of the lake, especially at sunset, was incredible and I would definitely recommend a stay.

Family run hotel ideal for business stay
I stayed in the hotel on an overnight business function. I was rather shocked when I was checking in as there was no record of my booking despite I had the reference from the internet site, through no fault of the hotel. The receptionist went out of her way to accomodate me, provided me with a warm spacious room and I was treated like royalty all during the stay. Well done to all the staff in the hotel, a warning if booking by internet to always check beforehand!!!
