“I am in Ukraine to do volunteer work. Before moving to a flat in the city centre, my introduction to Lviv and to Ukraine was the gracious staff at the Hotel Maestral. I walked in the door after a long bus ride and border crossing on Saturday night. I was soooo tired. So, when I walked in the door, and the kind woman behind the desk greeted with, "We've been waiting for you!" and a smile, it warmed my heart. “We loved our stay at Horowitz! The location was perfect, right next to the main square. The hotel is newly renovated with a nice classic feel but still top standard. And the made-to-order breakfast in the cozy cellar room was great. Some staff spoke limited English, but that was not a problem at all. Be aware though, there is no elevator so if you stay on one of the higher floors you will be doing some climbing.”

“The hotel is fine. There are a few small things that make it a bit uncomfortable. The shower is such that lots of water ends up on the floor. The chair is too low and the desk is too high - your head is hardly above the desk level and that makes it difficult to work with computer. The shower head is way too small by contemporary standards. There is no desk lamp. The way TV arranged is ridiculous - or may be i did not figure out how the remote works - either way, because I am a rocket scientist...

“I stayed 5 nights and the hotel was better than expected. Everything was clean and fresh. The rooms with all extras you can need except iron. As a lover of good breakfasts the breakfast was rich and made with love. The personal from the restaurant very friendly and helpful.
