“Everything from arrival to check out was brilliant, the staff are amazing, the spa was so relaxing as were the treatments, room was gorgeous and spotlessly clean and hot tub on the balcony was awesome, bar areas and service were fantastic and visit to Mizumi restaurant is recommended, location is fabulous - overall we had a great stay and will be visiting again ”

“A lovely, quaint and homely guest house with friendly, helpful staff. My room was clean, comfortable, warm and cosy. I was given a guided tour of the breakfast facilities upon check in and then shown to my room. The breakfast itself next morning was delicious and made to order. Rothay Garth is situated right at the heart of Ambleside, with all the local amenities only a couple of minute's walk away. There was also ample free parking on the premises. “The breakfast was superb. We tried the evening menu special which was a Pheasant breast.It wasn't the best I've tasted, it was nicely presented but it was rather salty and dry. The bed mattress provided a good nights sleep and the room was spacious and clean. Well worth the 5 stars”
