Large Vermont ski home on private scenic lot centrally located in the Mad River Valley

River Ridge Retreat is a large 3500sq ft 4 bedroom 3.5 bath house that sits on a beautiful lot in the heart of the Mad River Valley. Conveniently located just 10 minutes to both Sugarbush Ski Resort and Mad River Glen Ski Area while only a couple minutes to downtown Waitsfield & Warren Village. Highlights incluse a spacious master bedroom, a custom stone fireplace, massive wrap around deck with Adirondack chairs, a large lawn with a fire pit and a game room with pool table and a bar.

Please message through the booking medium or email before calling or texting for fastest response. Available during normal hours M-F 9-5 and for emergencies during reasonable non sleeping hours.

Quiet hillside neighborhood located on a private road.

Access to the entire home and property. Four wheel drive and snow tires are required for safe travel in winter months in this region of Vermont.

Four wheel drive vehicles with snow tires is highly suggested during winter travel as this is the standard for Vermont

Please note: The speed limit on the private dirt road leading up to the house is 15mph! Please respect the local neighbors and obey the speed limit as there are small children present on this road.

Large ski house, main floor primary bdrm with separate nursery room, kitchen is very well equipped. We had a small family reunion with our adult children and we all had a great time.

We had 5 family members - 3 siblings, a brother-in-law, and a first cousin for another cousin's wedding. The property was lovely and well-maintained. The check-in was well-explained, simple, and straightforward. Straight As.

This home is filled with a variety of spots to gather as a large group or sit and chat with just another person. The sun even peaked out for a bit (in late March) and we enjoyed time on the deck. Super easy to get to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen.

We brought our dog and kids for a ski weekend and had a wonderful time. The home is spacious with plenty of room to spread out or play together. The hosts have several board games along with the pool table in the finished basement. It was very clean with just the right amount of amenities. We chose not to use the fireplace during our stay. The house stays nice and warm and the beds and pillows are comfy. I’d love to return next year!

We had a wonderful peaceful ski week in your comfy home. This home has everything you could need and was nice to come home to after a day on the slopes! Being able to bring our furry friends was a big bonus to feel like we were home:) we will be back, thank you for an awesome stay!

The location is perfect; tucked in a beautiful private space with scenic view. Minutes from the resort! Home is spacious and accommodating. We took our 23 and 25 year old sons and 4 lifelong friends. They loved the basement with pool tables and bar area. I loved the octagon living room w view and relaxation feel! Large sized mud room for ski and snowboard equipment. Our dogs had great outdoor space to run around! The house was clean w many sleeping options. Main bedroom was huge and private from others w own bath. I even had a desk area to get some work done while the boys went snow mobiling. Fully equipped kitchen and was able to cook for 8 hungry boys w plenty of plateware etc

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in Waitsfield on Butternut Hill! The property was perfect and had everything we needed for a ski weekend with two families with young children. Mad River Management made our check in and check out process seamless and they were extremely responsive and helpful leading up to and during our visit. We can’t wait to come back!
