Perfect for a group!

Our group of three families stayed at this lovely home in Waldoboro for 3 nights and it was perfect. Everything we needed was there (shampoo/conditioner/towels/spices/dishwasher detergent, etc) - this is a major bonus to us since often we have to go out and buy basic necessities in a VRBO rental. The hosts were welcoming and allowed us to have a small family gathering in the yard and started a beautiful fire for us at dusk. The yard is beautiful and there is plenty of outdoor seating for lounging and outdoor dining. The layout of the house is perfect for a multigenerational stay - we had adults, teens and a 3-year old who all found amenities they loved. The neighborhood is walkable and there is a cute coffee shop and wine bar within 2 blocks. We look forward to our next stay!

Beautiful home

We had 6 adults traveling from out of state for a wedding in an unfamiliar area. The recommended hotels were 30+ minutes away, so we opted for this rental instead which was minutes away. What a great decision! When at the home, we spent a majority of our time on the porch by the gas fireplace. We also had access to the grill and patio which were fantastic. The homeowners even offered to start a fire for us when we returned home from the wedding. Very easy to communicate with them, and they made sure to introduce themselves as they live on the property as well. If ever in Waldoboro again, I’d definitely stay here!

Great place to stay

We had a great time staying at this location. The listing was correct. Everything was clean, well thought-out, and thorough. The layout of the space was funky (as are most old houses in Maine) but useful. We had no issues with heat, water, electricity, internet, or anything else. Cabinets, shelves, and drawers were labeled for ease of finding things. It was well-stocked with cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, and the like. Appliances were functional. We had two chill dogs with us and they were quite pleased with the water bowls and treats left for them. We were surprised and pleased to find treats for us as well. Overall, it was a great place to stay with everything that we needed to make our getaway fabulous.

Maine family vacation 2023

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely home in Waldoboro. Laura and Dana are terrific hosts. The property is beautifully furnished, very clean and in a great location. We particularly enjoyed the fire pit on the deck after our daily excursions. The location in Waldoboro was perfect for our visits to Pemaquid, Boothbay, Rockland and Camden.

Lovely Maine Getaway

The home was lovely and charming, with lots of bedrooms and space. We were only here for a night but the hosts were gracious, the property was clean, everything was very comfortable, and the air conditioners were a life-saver :) We would happily stay here again in the future!

Beautiful spot close to midcoast treasures, not good for >8 adults

Overall we had a great stay. Our hosts were so hospitable! They were flexible when we had a dog issue and also very helpful getting propane, firewood, etc. We had a group of 10 adults, and did not feel like there was enough space. The upstairs bedroom that has a photo of a queen bed is actually a twin. This is properly described in the listing, but the photos and captions are incorrect. We were supposed to have 12 guests initially, and I don't know where the other 2 would have slept. We would recommend for no more than 6 adults, and 10 total. The pull out couch was comfortable, but that is the only communal space, so if people are sleeping there is no where to go. The other thing to know is that it is a shared property. We were not having a party weekend, but we were still hanging outside around the fire and felt badly about the noise to other guests and the owners. We wish we had booked a standalone property. That said, it is a very convenient location for midcoast adventures! The owners are actively working on upgrading the house, and the sign said they would be putting in a second shower, which is also helpful for a big group.
