They could only downgrade me to an non smoking single room and change the room next day. I agreed since my wife wouldn't show up until the next day. âThe hotel behind Saifee Hospital. A side entrance a bit difficult to locate. No elevators..one has to climb 2sets of stairs/2x21=42 straight steps!!! Few rooms smelled high humidity.. the whole inside walls was tiled with what looks like rcream bricks and outline done with green marble. Positive:
Great location near shops, train station, walkable to Central Mumbai area, good big bed deluxe big room, clean.
Negative:
They don't provide toilet paper ! noisy employees all night in the corridor...
âI stayed at this hotel for the third time in March 2024 and it was just as amazing as the previous two occasions (2014 and 2018).
This time, too, they recognized me the second I stepped into the lobby. The staff are fantastic, helpful and with a big smile on their faces. Unfortunately the restaurant was no longer open (except for breakfast) but I got tips on other restaurants nearby.
Thank you for another pleasant stay with you. See you next time I'm in Mumbai.â

"Absolutely stunning place. The staff are very helpful and patient. The room was supposed to be in the wing but we ended up in the main building in a beautiful room. The breakfast buffet was more like lunch or at the very least a big brunch. There aren't any maps of the building so we had to ask for help to even get out of the hotel. The pool area is worth visiting, even if you don't want to swim. They had lighter, less expensive food, drinks, deserts and for those who need it I noticed there is a smoking area in the pool lounge. Felt safe due to security controls on every person who entered the building.The whole experience was really memorable and one of a kind."
