Host was amazing. Our prior rented house lost its heating unit and hot water heater in one day. House was flooded. So we had to find another house with an hour’s notice for that same time frame!House was very clean. Very nice neighborhood.We were aware there was construction going on in the back of the house and were ready for it. But the jackhammer was much louder than we anticipated….and two straight mornings and afternoons. So we had to leave the house completely during daylight hours. Next time we stay I’m sure we will rate it excellent!!

Excellent location, house in keeping with listing description, definitely adequate for a family of four plus grandparents. The house clean, was stocked with plenty of linens and kitchenware, had a few family games. Unfortunately the host was difficult with communications. The host granted us earlier access to the property but didn’t provide the house access code. It took over an hour and a half to gain entry and that was only after continual attempts to reach him. We were outside the property without options but waiting. There was also no direction regarding use of the washing machine which is in a locked garage.

We found this wonderful home perfect for our stay!  Recently renovated, stylishly decorated and like new throughout, we felt privileged to stay here.  We needed to be in Oakland and Berkley for a wedding and reception, and also close to family living in Concord.  This home was super convenient to all of the above, and in a very nice neighborhood.  It was a short and pleasant walk to Larkey Park and The Lindsay Wildlife Experience with the kids.  There's actually a pretty amazing network of trails in the area.  We found amazing restaurants a few miles away on Main Street in downtown Walnut Creek, but there are many closer options as well.  Overall a great home in a great location!

Great stay, property as advertised, good location, communication with host limited, but efficient. Layout of home makes it feel bigger than it is. Perfect base for our son’s graduation from St. Mary’s.

Exactly what we needed

We were spending a long weekend celebrating graduation at Berkeley, and this home was the perfect location for commuting to Berkeley, dinners in Walnut Creek, and a day trip to Napa. Accessing the home was easy, and it is nicely decorated and very clean! Bathrooms were very nice, which is always key. Bonus is that there is a great coffee shop a short walk away!

The bathtub stopper didn’t work. Was a hassle. Water heater didn’t make hot water only warm water. Curtains in smaller bedrooms did really cover the windows
