âVery comfortable stay. Room was clean and well equipped with great en-suite bathroom. Cooked breakfast was tasty and good breakfast selections. Enjoyed lunch in restaurant before going home. Great selections on menu and well cooked. Great roast dinner options on Sunday too. â
âAnother great break at the briers. Ive stayed in the slieve donard, the avoca and the donard. The briers is easily my favourite. Beautiful surroundings, clean rooms, friendly and hospitable staff. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be back again before the end of the summer.â

âJust a lovely spot, 5 minutes driving from town and the shore in Newcastle, 15 or so to some great hiking trails. Grounds are very nice and thereâs a gentle climb down to the river, a beautiful spot on the patio to sit out for a drink or morning coffee â and the breakfast was excellent as well (I had to go for the Ulster Fry (similar to the Full English) both mornings. Wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to go back. Seems to be a holiday spot for the Irish and those from the UK, not...
âWe only booked one night as we didnât know how long we needed to stay due to a family situation. The hotel kept our room open whether we used it or not and only charge for the days we are here at discounted rates. All staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and hugely empathetic. â

âThe cottage is warm, comfortable and has a view of Killeavy castle. The hosts were kind and thoughtful. They had essentials waiting for us in the kitchen (tea,milk,bread,etc.) which were very much appreciated. Definitely need a car if you plan on staying here. Road noise may be an issue if youâre a light sleeper plus be very careful coming out of the driveway. The locals drive fast on this road.â
