Welcome to our tranquil haven nestled in the woods, with easy access to the stunning Truman Lake. Our three-bedroom cabin offers the perfect getaway, a sanctuary where you can unwind and embrace the peace and tranquility of nature, less than 2 hours from Kansas City!

The Space:

Our cozy cabin comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 thoughtfully furnished bedrooms, with two well-appointed bathrooms providing all the comforts of home. As you step inside, you'll be welcomed by the warm, inviting ambiance, and the subtle blend of modern comfort and rustic charm.

Enjoy your mornings sipping coffee in the three-season front porch, fitted with a relaxing hammock, comfortable chairs, and a cozy dog bed. The large back deck overlooks the private, wooded lot and comes equipped with a dining set and a propane grill, perfect for al fresco meals and BBQ nights under the stars.

A large parking area out front allows you to pull through for easy trailer parking.

Amenities and Features:

Our cabin features a fully-equipped kitchen for those who enjoy home-cooked meals. Each bedroom has all the linens you need, ensuring a good night's rest after a day of exploration and fun. A CordaRoy bean bag unzips to form an extra double bed, and a twin floor mattress can be found in a bedroom closet.

A favorite amongst our younger guests, the expansive wooded lot provides a natural playground for endless adventures. In the evenings, gather around the backyard fire pit for s'mores and story-telling.

The Location:

You are just a short walk away from the serene Truman Lake. Whether you fancy a dip in the water, a quiet fishing trip (Truman Lake is known for its huge catfish!), or a brisk morning walk by the lake, this is the perfect spot. Our street ends at the water – a rocky point that’s a popular swim spot. At the other end of the neighborhood is a sandy shore perfect for a lazy beach day.

Multiple boat launches and marinas in the area offer opportunities for boating and watersports.
This is not just a vacation rental; it is your home away from home, a nature retreat where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is the perfect setting for a family vacation, a group getaway, or a romantic escape.

Things to keep in mind:

• The floorplan is a bit odd – the rear bedroom is accessed by walking through the kids’ room and rear bathroom, or through the door on the back porch.
• The AC is provided by a mini-split in the main room and a window unit in the back bedroom. Rooms can get warm if doors are closed.
• It’s on a well water system, which means there’s a high mineral content and a faint sulfur smell. We recommend using the water cooler in the kitchen for drinking water.

House Rules:

We kindly ask our guests to treat our cabin with respect and adhere to a few simple rules:

• Check-in: From 4:00 PM
• Check-out: No later than 11:00 AM
• No parties or large gatherings
• Please be quiet and respectful outside - many neighbors are retired and live here year-round
• Pets: Dogs are welcome, but please keep them off the furniture.
• Smoking: Not permitted inside the cabin.
• Please leave the cabin as tidy as possible before your departure.
