Amazing Eclipse Experience!
This property could not have been more perfect for a large family stay to catch the April 8 total Solar Eclipse! There was plenty of space to gather and spend time together, but also for the teens and other family groups to separate and find some quiet time in other parts of the house and yard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the warmth and coziness of the rustic but high-quality decor, and hope to return in the future! We were hoping to utilize the charcoal grill listed in the ad and had to do some last minute scrambling at the local hardware store to cook all the food we brought when we couldn’t find one on the property, but it was a minimal convenience in the scale of things. (I was also looking forward to the tea kettle, but made due with a typical pot and careful pour over the sink). I include these things not as a property complaint but to inform future travelers so alternatives can be considered. But all in all I still have to give this cabin 5 stars to reflect the amazing time we had in VT!

Another great weekend at Gordan’s house.
Second year we have rented the house. Great, comfortable space for a large group. Hot tub is great after skiing all day. Easy access to Rte 100 and 89, with quick access to Bolton Valley or Stowe but in a very quiet secluded neighborhood. Lots of bedrooms and game room on the lower level. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Perfect House for Friends Ski Trip
House comfortably accommodated ten adults with multiple comfortable hang out areas. We enjoyed the hot tub and proximity to many ski areas. Host was flexible and helpful.

Amazing log home
We booked this home for my daughter’s family wedding. This log home was perfect in every way❤️ The rooms are spacious, the hot tub was a relaxing retreat from the crazyness. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you might need. The fireplace in the family room added that extra coziness , and was enjoyed by all family members They even provided seasoned firewood for us to use . The back deck overlooks the property and Camel Hump mountain…wow!! What views❤️. We send our sincere thanks to the family for allowing us to use their home for this wedding, and we can’t wait to celebrate further anniversary’s here.

Great trip
Perfect house for our annual guys ski trip. This house could be a great match for families as well given the many beds available in the basement. Located less than 10min from Waterbury with a variety of restaurants and bars (as well as Ben & Jerry's factory) and 30min away from Stowe. Plenty of us for our party of 6, very responsive owner and great views from the hot tub !

We loved this house!
The house is a log cabin tucked into a magnificent hillside. The furnishings are an eclectic mix of all kinds of unique and fun things. The layout is perfect with comfortable sitting areas on each of the three floors with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The sauna and hot tub were an added bonus, as were foosball and table shuffleboard for the kids. We loved our stay and hope to come back again.

Vermont's Finest - our favorite tradition!

Stowe ski trip
We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful quintessential Vermont home made it perfect. Location to Stowe mountain and other in town amenities was great and the best part was coming home to a nice warm fire, hot tub, family dinner at that beautiful dining room table….and just a great vibe overall . Fantastic View
This spacious house has a fantastic view and is conveniently located not too far from downtown. The place comes with a huge backyard and a small pond. My dog had the best time running around and swimming in the pond.

Another fabulous weekend
This was our 6th trip to Gordon's home, and once again we had an incredible time! Despite the rain, we still had a very fun time on the property, played plenty of games inside and out, explored the area, and relaxed plenty. We can't wait to come back!

Rustic Getaway with a Spectacular View
Seven of us plus our 97-year-old mother rented this cabin so we could all get together in the area where our mom grew up and went to college. The location is gorgeous and convenient, and the cabin worked fine overall for our group. However, it does need some updates. It was also challenging for my mother to navigate because some of the floors are uneven and she had to go upstairs to use the shower. We cooked all of our breakfasts and dinners at the house and were thankful for the AC. Gordon was very responsive and flexible on our check-in and check-out times.... much appreciated! Note that there's a bear in the neighborhood that walked by the front porch one afternoon while we were there. We all enjoyed seeing it, but families with small children might want to take note. Sitting on the rear deck with the gorgeous view of Camel's Hump was such a treat!

Amazing stay
I can’t say enough about how wonderful and relaxing this home is. We stayed with family ranging from 91yr mom to 18yr child for 3 nights and it could not have gone better. So much room to relax and enjoy nature, from sitting on the deck that had multiple seating/eating choices to enjoying meals at the dining room table! I would absolutely stay again. The pond area was a huge bonus too!!! Gordon was such a great host as his replies were informative and very quick!!

College Graduation/USMC Commissioning Stay@Norwich University
We picked this home because it was only a 20 minute drive to campus. Our son graduated from Norwich University and we wanted to be close to campus. The owner sent all important information prior to our visit. The home is beautiful and clean. Plenty of space for a large group. My husband and our 6 children stayed and slept comfortably. Our kids loved the pond and the downstairs game area. We would definitely recommend staying in this home!

family skiing vacation
Our family has rented several properties from VRBO and this house was our favorite! The house was cozy for family time, yet spacious enough for family to enjoy different activities/entertainment. We enjoyed meals and game time at the large dining table. The house was located close to Stowe skiing as well as downtown for beer tasting and restaurants. A perfect vacation, lots of memories.

Fantastic weekend in a great house!
We loved the property, lots of space for our group of three families with adult children. Very comfortable with space to spread out. The hot tub was a great amenity after a day on the slopes. Very easy to get to and very close to Bolton Valley, Stowe, downtown Waterbury and Stowe village. Gordon was a great host, excellent communications and the house was exactly as they described. We are already planning a return trip next winter.

A Perfect Vermont Getaway
This place is everything you could envision or hope for if you are looking for a rustic Vermont lodge tucked away in the mountains! Getting there requires driving through steep back roads in the mountains - you definitely need 4 wheel drive if coming in the winter! As for the property itself - The pictures do not do this place justice! The exterior of the home is beautiful, with views that are simply breathtaking in all directions. The interior of the house itself was charming and spacious, with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and various living areas to support a large group. Kitchen also was well stocked with cooking appliances and supplies, which we appreciated as we cooked in many nights. Gordon, the property manager was very responsive and communicative throughout our stay. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Gordon and Missys home is our favorite place to stay when visiting Stowe. This was our groups third year staying here and we continue to love it. Amazing spot for relaxing vacation! Highly recommend!
This was our second time staying at this property and both times were amazing! The house has the rustic log cabin feel we were looking for, while also having plenty of space. The kids had a blast playing in the massive yard, basement with games, and hanging out on the deck. The property owner was really great to work with. There was a mishap during our stay where something was damaged by accident on the property and we felt awful and anxiously called the owner to discuss. He was beyond understanding and so kind in dealing with the situation. It made me even more sure that I would be recommending this rental property to more friends and family in the future. If you’re considering booking, I would say you will have an awesome vacation and you should do it!

Fantastic Place
We stayed two nights and wished we had the time to stay longer; the house is just magnificent. First, there is a ton of room, more than enough for our large group. There are three full floors, the house designers did a fabulous job in the layout. It's a great combination of it being very large but also comfortable. The views of the mountain you get from everywhere in the house (and deck and back yard) are fabulous. The yard and area around the house are well kept and the pond is a great place to hang out next to a fire. Everything about the experience (communications with owner, check-in, helpful signs in the house, cleanliness, etc.) was 5 stars. We can't wait to return.

Highly recommend this home
A beautiful house that is as shown in the listing, no surprises! A great location with a beautiful mountain view from the back deck where we marveled at the sunsets every day and the night sky full of stars. It is close to shops and restaurants but far enough away for peace and quiet. We were a group of 10 adults and had no problems finding our own space (when needed) or gathering all together in the well laid out 3 levels of the house. Loved this place1

This house is amazing. It was very clean, spacious, well-furnished, and was full of fun indoor and outdoor games, kayaks, etc for summer. Great for kids. Seems like it'd also be great in winter, with wood stove, hot tub, etc. The owners were very helpful and easy to communicate with. We definitely would like to come back.

Family Vacation in the Mountains
Nice property for a family vacation. Plenty of space for everyone. Owners were responsive. We enjoyed our quiet mornings on the deck, the games in basement in the evenings and feeding the fish in the pond.
