Family/Friends Getaway On The Brazos River

  • Enjoy the vacation of a lifetime at CABANA SHORES on the peaceful and relaxing Brazos River. This vacation home features spacious guest accommodations and an outstanding riverfront experience with outdoor entertainment area which is for guest use only. The outdoor entertainment area features a fire pit, trampoline , complete outdoor kitchen, bathroom, outdoor shower, hot tub, ping pong, and regulation size horse shoe and washer pits. There is also an audio system with an iPod docking station and built-in TV. Propane heaters will be provided in the winter, upon request.

    There is an amazing sand beach at the waters edge, where kids can swim or play all day. The large wooded (2+ acre) lot provides plenty of shade to sit and watch the boats go by. Or drive your boat up on the sandy shore after enjoying a full day of glass smooth water.

    The 2006 manufactured home features 5 spacious bedrooms, sleeping up to 14 people maximum. The kitchen is fully equipped. The living room features a new 55" 4K TV with DirecTV. The master bedroom and outdoor cabana also have a TV. The fireplace room and two other guest bedrooms also have flat screen televisions. High speed internet is available for those who have to send a last minute email to the work they left behind.

    The wrap-around multi-level deck offers many opportunities to dine, socialize, or watch wildlife.

    The bedrooms consist of a master bedroom, en suite, with a queen size bed. The master bathroom feature has been updated with bright and open shower with granite counter tops. There are two other bedrooms, each with queen sized beds. There is a "twin room" with 3 twin beds. Two of the twin beds can be pushed together to create a king sized bed. The adaptor is in the closet. The room off living room has bunk bed (full bottom/twin top) and has a twin daybed with twin trundle.

    The views at CABANA SHORES are breathtaking, whether it is stargazing at night or watching the sun come up with a cup of warm coffee off of the back deck of the home. This is the ultimate retreat where you can unwind and let go of life's worries.

Very cool piece of property! If you are looking for a place that has all the outdoor activities on the river/lake, then this has it all. The house is adequate annd it slept 12 comfortably. The porches could use some love but overall it worked great for what we used it for.

We had a great week at this cabin on the brazos. We have a group of 4 families that meet annually and this was our choice this year. The accomodations are as described and the location on the Brazos is great. The kids in the group absolutely loved the place, so much for them to do. The host are great and do a super job communicating with you if you have questions or issues. If you go in the summer, do be sure to bring misquito repellant, you are on the river, so the misquitos are bad and my grand daughter got stung by a wasp, but other than that we had a super trip. Also, if you are into nature/birding, lots of good birds. Every morning we had a Yellow-billed Cuckoo sing to us and I finally got a picture.

Everything about this property lived up the expectations that we had based on the pictures and property description. The check in process was very smooth and easy. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had before our arrival and the place was ‘ready to go’ for us as soon as we arrived. I would definitely recommend this location for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

From the very beginning, our hosts were super welcoming and communicative! The home and location were more magical than we could have imagined! We traveled from California, Washington and across Texas for a family wedding in Weatherford, and I definitely kicked a goal when I decided our family and my brother-in-law’s family (nine in total) were going to stay together at Cabana Shores rather than in a hotel. The intimate time we spent together as a family enjoying the outdoor kitchen, fire pit and gorgeous view of the Brazos was almost more special than the wedding itself! We highly recommend Cabana Shores, and hope to make it back to visit next time we’re in Texas! Thank you, Rich and Dina, for an unforgettable stay on your lovely property!

The kitchen was not fully stocked.There was even some dirty dishes in cabinet,the refrigerator needed to be wiped out.,and was in poor condition.There was no sand beach,some things need replacing.The kitchen in the cabana I would had to clean to even use it. I believe most of this would have been done by the housekeper.when ever I talked to the host she was helpful and said we could even come early.It was really nice down by the river.

This family friendly home was clean and had plenty of room for 10 of us. Ages ranged 3 to 80. Kitchen had everything you would need. Kids enjoyed being outdoors and enjoyed the activities kept onsite. The host was very informative / directions were very clear.

We are country folks so this spot was great for us. Off the beaten path, accommodating for a large group who just want a place to get together. Looking forward to booking for a longer stay when we can actually just sit down by the river and relax.

Plenty of room for us during/leading up to our wedding day! Was only 10 minutes from our venue and gave us a very summer/camp vibe!
We really enjoyed the outside bar area that was next to the river!
We also really enjoyed the burn pit!

The location, amenities, comfort of the beds, it was all wonderful!! We only wish we could have stayed longer to truly experience everything the home has to offer. The home was clean, there was a stocked coffee bar, filtered drinking water, and all the necessities to make your stay enjoyable. We will definitely rent again and recommend to family and friends.

We ended up having a great stay, but not without a few hiccups. A/C was set at 83 before we got there and it took all night to cool it down to 73. Owner was pretty unconcerned and dismissive about it. Remotes were missing batteries or falling apart, the bunkbed ladder wasn’t attached so my son fell with the ladder when trying to use it, there was a used condom wrapper in a bedside table, one of the kayaks was missing plugs so we couldn’t use it, the master bathroom smelled of sewer gas if we didn’t run the sink water regularly, no icemaker in the freezer so we had to buy ice (fine, but listing should say that), the front storm door needs repaired, the dishwasher’s soap compartment gets stuck so we were having to rewash loads, the bedding was stained and not very clean, and one of the aderondak chairs by the fire pit was rotted and fell apart when someone was sitting in it (scraped her arm pretty good). There were also a lot of wasps around, and on the last day we got locked out because the door code was changed before checkout time. Lots of miscellaneous items that weren’t a huge deal individually, but added up and felt more frustrating knowing the owner was dismissive and there was no point. Overall, we ended up having a good time. The outside cabana area is cool, and having lots of bedrooms to spread out and two living rooms worked well for our group. I’d just recommend bringing your own kitchen utensils, your own seasonings, and your own ice.

We rented the house for my sisters wedding. She got married at Rivers Edge @ Tin Top right down the road. Such a nice home, wish I could’ve enjoyed the river a little more but we were BUSY! House was very spacious and clean. I want to come back to just spend a weekend on the water!

Quick Trip

We were only here for a few nights but had a wonderful time. Loved it so much we booked a full week already. The Cabana down by the water is awesome and the hosts are very easy to work with. Highly recommend!

This was our 5 year to stay at Cabana Shores - and we plan on returning again next year. Their place is in a great location right on the river with quick access to the public boat ramp. The place is well equipped and spacious and the cabana near the river is an excellent second place to spend time with all the extras - outdoor kitchen, fire pit, hot tub and lots of seating space for your family or group. Rich and Dina are super responsive and are always checking to ensure we are enjoying our stay. They’ve gotta a great place and we will return again and again.

Nice and peaceful

There were 16 of us (7 Adults and kids) stay was comfortable and kids had a great time outdoors . Dina, our host was very professional and prompt in her communications. Definitely recommend for a relaxing weekend getaway.
