From the moment you step into cape welligama to the moment you leave, you are being looked after by the staff with such immense care and attention to detail. The responsiveness and personalisation is excellent, and a level of service I have not encountered in any hotel before. The resort is well set up for young families, and our room had easy access to what felt like a very private swimming pool. The swimming pools are set to have great views, and we had monkeys and peacocks come to say hello. The food was delicious and dinner menu changed every night. The chef came to ask for feedback regularly and even made a custom dish on request. The rooms feel large and open, yet are warm and cosy, with great modern facilities. The property benefits from being fairly new, versus other more grand yet tired hotels we stayed in our trip in Srilanka. Overall a beautifully maintained, scenic hotel with great facilities for children and an amazing service.

Amazing stay
Very attentive staff, stunning location with wonderful facilities. The views from all parts of the hotel were breathtaking. If you like surfing, there’s an excellent left hand reef just minutes from the hotel. Would highly recommend, it was the highlight of the trip.

Amazing resort. Our villa was enormous and shared a pool with two others. Main swimming pool was spectacular. Restaurant served excellent (though pricy) food and the service everywhere was exemplary. Difficult to go back to regular hotels now.

Excellent stay
Absolutely wonderful experience. We treated ourselves as it was a significant birthday and we were not disappointed. Our only issue was that the choice of food was so expensive it could have done with a range. Similarly , for the prices paid it seemed that some of the activities could have been provided as complimentary for example some water sports or spa treatments. We would have liked to visit local restaurants but there are not really any nearby and two of our party arrived ill so we needed to eat in the resort. Apart from that it was fabulous and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. The rooms we had were one above the other. Ours was easily accessed but our companions (adult offspring) was almost inaccessible. Would have been better to have rooms next to each other. Instead we had a very noisy family with many children next door. They gave us the most wonderful evening to remember for my birthday which was absolutely magical!

An oasis of luxury and comfort
They care for you in every aspect, the food was consistently superb, we had a three course dinner every day including sashimi and tartar as starters, a very nice mix of locally inspired and international food selection. The chef especially cared for the desires of our young ladies 9 and 10 years old. The hotel resort itself s luxurious in evry aspect, golf cara hover you around, the views are sheer stunning. A higlight s the moonppol infinity edge. Galke s very close and worth a visit, we also embarked on a great safari trip to Udawalawa. We miss caoe Weligana so much and will surely return. Couples Stay
Hotel setting is truly stunning. Grounds are set up to maximize the views and scenery. The hotel has a very quiet atmosphere. Local area is a little sparsely populated and so trips off the compound require tuk-tuk or other transport. Villas are beautiful.

Best resort! Stay here!!
Stay here! We stayed down the road s few days before moving to this resort after being very disappointed with the main beach at Weligama. We were so happy we relocated to this absolutely wonderful resort. It is worth every cent. The rooms are gorgeous, the food amazing, gorgeous location. 100% recommend staying at Cape Weligama.

Wonderful Honeymoon Experience
The grounds of the hotel and views were spectacular. We spent each of our 6 days at the moon pool and felt so lucky to be relaxing next to such a breathtaking view. Whilst we were there it was very quiet around the resort (a staff member told us that only 20 people were staying at that time) which we loved as it meant the staff were very attentive. The service at the pool was great, the pool men were so good at anticipating if you wanted to move into the shade or sun and kept bringing ice cold water for us. We used the gym once and were impressed by its facilities. We also participated in a complimentary yoga class, 2 guests didn't show up so it was just us - it felt like a private lesson! Our room rated included afternoon tea which we absolutely loved. Each day we would sit out on the verandah of the bar, bask in the views and enjoy our afternoon tea. The staff were great and on a few occasions that my husband was still hungry they brought us more sandwiches. I loved the tea collection. The breakfast was delicious and we dined there 5 nights and each night our food was also very good. On our last night my husband organised a candlelit dinner for us which we really enjoyed, a perfect ending to our honeymoon! The room was massive, so much space for just the two of us. We loved the bathroom as it had sea views and loved the huge balcony. We were very impressed with the butler service and the general cleaning of our room each day; we also loved the laundry service and minibar.

Quiet village feel
We really like the "village" concept at Cape Weligama. It managed to feel very quiet and peaceful despite having nearly 40 villas and 14 pools. We saw iguanas, kingfishers and mongoose in our garden which made it feel happily un-sterile and unresort-y. The High Tea included as part of the rate was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The staff were charming and friendly with out being over obsequious. Our only slight critique of the design would be the use of new shiny terracotta roof tiles throughout and the Thai feel to the design which felt odd in Sri Lanka - but perhaps we are not typical of the luxury market Cape Weligama is appealing to.

The hotel was very nice I think it is the best hotel in Sri Lanka ,everything was awesome the stuff, the chef if you need a special food they can make it in less than one hour the roos also the beach club. It was a very good experience. The hotel put for every visitor butler he help us and take care of us he was amazing.

人が少ないのが魅力のリゾート
コロンボから2時間半かかって真夜中3時に到着しくたくただったが、レセプションでは笑顔のスタッフと冷たいミントティの出迎えがとてもうれしかった！施設内で全て完結する仕組みもよくできていて、スタッフがぴったりと1人ついてくれるので困ることもない。すべての予約を任せられるし、出かける予定を一緒に考えてくれたり、洗濯物もすべてやってくれる。景色もみたことのないほど広いインド洋が目の前に広がり、どこにいても満足できる。なによりスタッフ全員が子供にフレンドリーなのがありがたい。

Amazing rooms with superb bathrooms including a steamroom! and walk in closets. Excellent food, with high tea served daily. Although there were a couple of technical issues with the music system, the hotel team was prompt in responding to all issues. Will definitely return

Wir hatten die Premier Residence Klasse und waren sehr zufrieden mit dem grossen eigenen "Plunge" Pool und toller Sicht über die Bucht und das Meer. Einzig seitlich war der Balkon ziemlich eingeengt und die Wand des nächsten Gebäudes sehr nah, was in dieser Hotelkategorie eher unüblich ist. Beim Gehen durch die schöne Anlage sah es dann auch so aus, als ob es durchaus Zimmer gäbe, die gar keine Aussicht haben - also lohnt es sich, genau zu schauen, welches Zimmer man bucht. Den grossen Familienpool haben wir nicht besucht, dafür den Salzwasser-Infinity Pool der sehr schön liegt und toll zum Relaxen ist. Gut ausgestattetes Gym vorhanden. Ansonsten ist die Restauration sehr gut - auch die Bar, wo nachmittags der High Tea serviert ist, ist sehr schön und gut. Unbedingt am Vorabend fürs Frühstück die Egg-Hoppers bestellen - sehr leckeres Sri Lankesisches Frühstück mit Curries.
