Located on a quiet pocket of the hillside - the harbour just below - this comfy apartment catches the sun for most of the day while remaining sheltered from Wellington’s prevailing winds. As an established suburb close to the city, Roseneath offers a surprisingly peaceful setting, near to everything green, beautiful, and lovely.

No crisp, modern, white-tiled dwelling here! The apartment is vintage, eclectic and cosy with plenty of character, its 70s kitchen is clean, well-equipped, and comfortably functional.

Think “comfy little bach in the city”, rich with personality and homely charm.

Amenities include a new bathroom and an excellent laundry machine. The balcony provides a sunny outdoor spot, and the many windows throughout the apartment bring in natural light and cross-breezes, making the space feel open and refreshing.

BONUS: If you need good access to the city, it’s only a (glorious) 25 minutes walk away, and yet safe garage space for two cars (tandem) at street level below the house is included with your stay.

ACCESS: If you’re comfortable with steps, access is straightforward.

The apartment is 20 metres above street level, so after you park in the secure garage, you’ll go up 10-12 steps … walk along a balcony … more steps … another flat stretch … more steps from the street up to the front door. Fifty in all.

This is typical for Wellington’s hilly suburbs and manageable for able-bodied guests.

Simply follow the path up from the road and you’ll reach the private entrance to your apartment. Once inside, everything is on one level, with easy access to the living area, bedrooms, kitchen and balcony.

If you’re travelling with very young children, heavy luggage, mobility issues, or you simply prefer step-free access, this may not be the best fit - we want you to be fully comfortable.
