Log Home Retreat på pittoresk privat bondgård

Kom bort från allt på denna timmerstuga hemma i vackra West Augusta. Njut av den privata omgivningen omgiven av en 900 + hektar stor gård som backar upp till George Washington National Forest. Massor av vandrings- / vandringsleder, flera dammar för fånga och släppa fiske och olika djurlivsmöjligheter.

Ligger en kort bilresa från Historic Staunton eller vackra Highland County.

Den specialbyggda hemmet har ett öppet vardagsrum med stor öppen spis, kök och matplats på bottenvåningen samt sovrum och badrum. På övervåningen är det andra sovrummet, badrum och loft med utsikt över vardagsrummet. Den färdiga utegångs källaren har en bar, spelbord, fotbollsplan och sittgrupp med en bäddsoffa samt ett badrum med tvättmaskin och torktumlare. Loftområdet och färdig källare ger utrymmen för extra sovande arrangemang, i. e. luftmadrasser.

Huset har en full wrap runt däck inklusive en veranda med stor picknickbord. Koppla av och njut av den vackra utsikten från gungstolarna på verandan.

Gas och kolgrill på plats. Sängkläder tillhandahålls.

Detta är verkligen en koppling och koppla av tillflyktsort - det finns ingen celltjänst, inget internet och ingen kabel. Det finns en TV med DVD-spelare och en hustelefon för din användning. Inställningen och omgivningen mer än kompenserar för bristen på digital underhållning.

No WiFi as Advertised !

Listing for property actually says under amenities: "Available in the house: WiFi" We contacted the owner while there and we were told there was no wifi at the property. We would not have stayed at this property had we known there was no wifi. As a matter of fact, we left a day early. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!

Lovely setting on a working farm

This is a quiet retreat with lovely views and access to good hiking trails in George Washington National Forest. Stanton is a close drive for groceries and small shops for gifts and such

Fall Break

Amazing family getaway. Peaceful weekend with so many great family activities. We loved feeding the pig some carrots and waking up to the beautiful sunrise over the mountains. Thank you. We hope to come again.

Great family weekend!

Our family stayed at this cabin for the weekend. It’s nestled on a beautiful piece of property with views of the mountains, a small lake and animals- farm and wild! The cabin was spacious. Our kids loved the basement with games. The bedrooms fit us well. Only complaint in the bedrooms were squeaky beds; otherwise, very clean! We ventured to nearby hikes and towns. Thank you and we hope to return soon!

Perfect mountain retreat

This has to be one of the best cabins to stay in in the mountains of Virginia. This is the second time my family and I have stayed here and we absolutely love it. The owners are wonderful people. You wil not be disappointed staying here.

Amazing Cabin

The cabin was clean and well maintained. The property was beautiful with plenty to do. We enjoyed family time around the little lake fishing and walking and using the little row boats available. The views were gorgeous! A peaceful and amazing place to stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin....our daughter loved the pigs and made a new friend with Ferdinand the pig.....Luke and Leslie were both beyond welcoming and the cabin is in perfect location . Perfect quiet getaway.

Private Farm

Beautiful location and absolutely beautiful property! Quite with piggies to feed if wanted and 2 lambs walking around on the property. Stayed there for an event we signed up for but could of just stayed on the premises and never left!! Owners very friendly and helpful!

Annual visit

We love coming here. I rent the cabin for myself and my daughter and her family for a Christmas gift. Instead of gifts I do and experience. This is our 3rd year coming. The kids love the pigs!! Only thing missing at this cabin is a hot tub lol

A+++ Place to stay

We had an amazing time at the guest house. The property is amazing-very private, beautiful, and the owners provide plenty of activities to do. The kids enjoyed the fishing and the kayaks and the pigs that came by to say hello! We still definitely recommend to family and friends. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Weekend in the mountains

We had a great weekend at the cabin. Remote location, open floor plan and lots of ptroperty to wander about. The kids enjoyed canoeing on the pond and hitting golf balls on "the green."

Fantastic Stay!

WOW! What a great weekend! 65 or 70 on Friday made for a great hike & evening outdoor fire, then woke up to about 3" of snow on Sat. morning. Cabin is nicely appointed, beds comfy, great fireplace inside with wood stacked & waiting for you. We were greeted by "Ferdinand" the pot belly pig and were fortunate enough to meet Luke while walking around the property. What an inviting couple :-) Morning especially picturesque with sun rising over the mountain, steam coming off of the pond, and a Momma cow & her two babies running across the field. Truly a wonderful place and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much for everything!

2nd year cabin stay

We love Charlie’s guest house. It’s our 2nd year coming. Love the pigs. Was sad to see there wasn’t the big Christmas tree in the loft like last year and couldn’t figure out how to get basement warm. But the stay was amazing. The property is picturesque. The cabin is just so cute and comfortable. No gas grill like last year but we managed with the charcoal grill provided. Loved how there were apples for the pigs each day. No cell service is actually a great thing. The family was able to be present and just enjoy each other’s company. The walking trails on the property were great too. Plan on going again next year!! Definitely recommend it.

Perfect Holiday Weekend!

Perfect mountain getaway

The cabin is perfect! We enjoyed every aspect of it. Thr location, the house, the surroundings were all wonderful. And in our first day we were greeted by the cutest pot belly pig. I cannot rabe enough about this place. It was perfect for our family. We will be staying here against!

Idyllic Mountain Cabin far from it all

Beautiful grounds and views, fully functional and spacious cabin, comfortable sleeping arrangements and large bathrooms. Great walking and hiking trails. Felt very secluded and safe. Would definitely come back.
