The home itself is nice on the inside very spacious with clean bathrooms. Dishwasher was cool and living room had plenty of room for activities. The not so good started with having to contact vrbo to be able to get the information needed for check-in because darren forgot to message us. When we got there at 4 to check in there were people in the house cleaning and we had to wait til after 5 to finally go inside. We wanted this listing for the pool specifically and it was full of bugs and debris when we got there as well as many many spiders and webs all over the netting of the pool area. I spent awhile cleaning and dusting the area because darren claimed it was fine and had been recently cleaned. The BBQ is nasty and unusable as lizards have made it home. The picnic table next to it is falling apart and growing mushrooms on it. I was thinking the garage would be cool to have and it was converted into a wash room and storage space. We made sure to clean the house and leave it as we found it best we can as we always do before leaving someone elses home. This has been our first experience with a not so great listing but overall it was a place to sleep while enjoying a well needed vacation.

Excellent place in a cute neighborhood. Very clean with a nice layout. Pool was not warm, but I guess that's a FL thing in late Feb. Now I know! Otherwise a very lovely spot to stay.

The location was great for our needs, but the condition of the house was not as advertised. The house was listed as charming, heated pool, BBQ, Beach nearby…..it was not charming, the pool was NOT heated and the beach was not nearby. Having a heated pool and the beach nearby were some of the main reasons we rented this house. The only support railing to get into the pool was loose and not secured to the concrete. Major security concerns were reported to the host upon arrival, because of the wood rot on the front double door locking area allowing daylight to be seen through the doors. After we requested additional security for the front door, the host assured us he had ordered a door stopper security bar that never arrived. There is no way to see if anyone is at the front door, i.e., Peephole or window. Finishes were less than builder-grade. Paint patches on walls throughout the house, rusted shower curtain rods, tile floors cracked, vinyl plank flooring makes a cracking sound when walking on it, missing slats & ill-fitting blinds, slats in workstation bedroom bed were misaligned and the bed unusable, only one of 6 bulbs in hall bathroom working, one of two hairdryers not working, TV remote in master not working, ants in the hall bathroom, basic supplies were not furnished (TP, hand soap, etc. (as shown in house photos)) until we contacted the host and requested. VRBO should not show any ratings if there are no reviews/ratings on this specific house.
