Enkelt och billigt
Motell av enklaste sort. Frukost bestod av flingor, juice o blaskigt kaffe. Men priset och läget räddar det mesta.

There was not even complimentary coffee. The owners kept reminding us that checkout was at ten- even in the evening and at 8 am when we saw them. The place is not clean at all and there was a lot of broken and missing items. We took pics of them

The motel was outdated. Some of the in room amenities were not working. It was a beautiful area and we love visiting Stockbridge.

I would reccomend this place for summer only. In winter it is cold so cold that I had to use my own sleeping bag under their covers. Ironically I took this cheap place because in my own house nearby the hot water boiler has broken down. Their thermostats were unresponsive, the heater in the bathroom was on constantly, old and ineffective. To take a shower I needed to close the bathroom and run the hot water until the room was like a schwitzbad.

I was originally placed in a room with one bed, which is not the one I reserved, but that was ok, since it was only me, however, the room was cold and I was asked to plug in an oscillating heater to heat the room. It was about 5 inches in diamater and maybe 30 inches high. I did so, then went to eat. After I'd returned I waited a bit and the room was still cold. At that point, I called the office and they moved me into the room I was originally supposed to have and I suppose they controlled the heat, because it actually got too hot. Upon waking I went to check out and realized breakfast is only two days a week (on the weekends) there and outside the office was a coffee pot and some cups. I dropped my keys off and left. I'll choose another location if I ever need to stay in that area again.

The website states that breakfast is included but when we got there the owner said that breakfast was only offered in the summer season. Instead of being allowed to enter the office, the keys were handed to us from a grilled window. Very unwelcoming!

refused to honor my reservation
I reserved on hotels.com at 11:00 PM. I showed up at 11:15 PM. The office was closed. There was a cell phone listed for the motel. I phoned. A male came to the window and told me they were closed and to go away. I stated I had a hotels.com reservation. He told me 2 more times to go away. The person was rude and totally uncooperative.

Never Again
This is the dirtiest motel I have ever been in. It was too late to find something else. I should have slept in the car. I slept on top of the bed with my clothes on. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom and mold growing on the cracked tile on the walls and floor. I don't know how they stay open. I regret not taking photos.

I can always get a good nights sleep knowing that the rooms are clean, i get fresh towels, its quiet and has everything we need including a breakfast. The people are super helpful which adds to the charm.

I would not recommend this place to anyone - not only it is dated and beat-up but there is grime on the dark carpet, the scraped, beat-up door, windows; door locks were broken, so the door could not be secured at night. Price included continental breakfast, however, that meant OJ (plastic container was empty) and some mini muffins (two left on a table) - nothing else. This is a terrible and unsafe place, run by deceptive advertisements, including on this site, Expedia.

About the least expensive in the area but it shows. Our sheets had pilling you could feel when you moved. Had to hookup our AC and reprogram the TV. Breakfast was minimal continental. Thin walls, some noise from nearby highway. Just OK, I would spend a little more next time.

Convenient to Tanglewood(10 minutes ). Property is vintage motel with dated everything. But appears very safe and reasonably priced compared to Lenox hotels. Nice Italian restaurant just 5 minutes away. Overall can’t complain.

Pretty basic motel. Room was clean and fresh smelling and the location is close to local attractions. Fridge and microwave but no in room coffee maker and the toilet is pretty low for the elderly. For the price and location worked out perfect for us.

The bathroom fixtures and room rug could have been much cleaner; one of the room microwaves couldn't be plugged in; the other needed to be plugged in/unplugged to get it to work/shut off; non-working mini-fridge; no coffee maker in room.

Room was ok but definitely needs updating and maintenance. Windows so dirty we could barely see out of them. Baseboards dirty and rusty need painting. Furniture old, bed bouncy but ok. Only two small pillows on each bed. Inside of door paint chipping off, GFC outlet in bathroom very loose. Wall near shower head has hole in it. The bathroom was good overall, very clean and functional with good water pressure. My daughter and I didn’t mind staying here but my wife would never return.

Pay more and stay elsewhere
We needed a place simply to sleep, and the prices in Great Barrington, where we usually stay, were super expensive. I should have just paid the extra. I cannot believe I paid over $150 for this hotel. The pillows? They were about the size of baseball bases...only thinner and less comfortable. For real. The room smelled mildewy, and a window was open we got there (there was a screen, so there's that). The comforter looked one that Jack Kerouac might have used on his travels...as the same one from decades ago. There was a big, silver microwave that was about the size of a small boat. It sat atop one of the nightstands, which had been pushed under the wall unit air conditioner. There was some type of stove in there, but I can't comment on that because, um, the whole scene didn't exactly lend itself to, you know, ;extensive food preparation. To be fair, I will list the positives: Good wifi with no password needed. The wall unit AC did work well enough to cool the tiny room. The sink put out very hot water immediately. The bathroom and main room floor were clean. Finally, the "breakfast" was so off-the-chart bizarre that I have been laughing about it for over 24 hours. There is a table on the porch where you check in, and there were two plastic containers of cereal with milk, coffee and a gallon of cutrate orange juice JUST SITTING OUTSIDE ON A WARM MORNING. There was a bowl of icky bananas and a few tiny muffins in a store container. I so regret not having a pic!

the proprietors are very friendly and helpful, which makes your stay more pleasant, no pun intended. We needed a clean, quiet place with easy parking, and Pleasant Valley gives us that. When traveling for business with a long work day, it is important to get a good nights sleep. A clean room, hot water and clean towels are all we need.
