The simple, comfy house, tucked out of view of the two-lane tarmac, is clearly meant to be a restful place, though it’s equipped with great wi-fi if you like to stay in touch.

If you want to visit the USA's most recently added New River Gorge National Park, enjoy a Saturday visit to the Farmer’s Market in nearby Lewisburg, or stroll or through peaceful, photogenic small towns (we loved Hinton, a half-hour away) this is it.
You can drive (or ride) twisty two-lane highways like the Midland Trail (US Rt. 60) or steer over White Oak mountain (WV Route 3) revealing numerous glimpses of warm valleys and quaint rural houses.
We found it a great place to engage and connect with the best in mountain culture and scenic beauty, all within an easy drive.
Best of all: in various ways the hosts made our stay delightful. Though nearby, they were respectful of our privacy, yet were warm, affable, and attentive to any concern. In many years of travel we haven’t experienced such exceptional hospitality!
