The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home.

âLovely place for an overnight stay. Really pleased we chose it instead of the many bog standard motorway hotels, though it is just as convenient for the M6. Big comfy rooms, lots of atmosphere, great breakfast, lovely staff.â

âI put in the postcode but car sat nav directed me as far as the local pub only! After turning down a wrong lane past the pub in the pitch dark (9pm on an October evening) ascending up at a dead end I rang the owner who instructed me to carry on past the pub for another 2 miles!

âStayed here for one night in a multiple beds room. Room was spacious and had all we needed. I would definitely recommend opting for the lake view rooms as the view is great! Both members of staff we interacted with were pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again.â

âVery Scottish decorâ for some reason.
Staff were over worked and doing multiple jobs as best as they could and as quickly as they good. Tending bar, taking orders, waiting on tables - just one person! They really struggled at breakfast with a coach party all coming down to eat at the same time and only two waitresses and one chef to handle everything. I could see how frustrated the staff and the customers were getting with the whole situation. The room was clean and tidy with good tea and...
âA private home from the 16th century with a very welcoming host and hostess. Marketed as "luxury B&B", and that's an apt description. The drawback is that it's located between villages, so any dinner requires a drive (and therefore no beer or wine). Personally, I'd had a big lunch and a tiring drive through the Yorkshire Dales, so I skipped dinner.â
