We had a great few days here with the in-laws.The view is lovely. Property was advertised & clean. Great space.We were met by Jill who was very friendly & the welcome pack of bread, milk, butter & cake was very much appreciated.Can thoroughly recommend the Old Inn pub just a 3 minute drive away. Our family of 4 including 2 children had a wonderful stay at the property which was super clean, comfortable (especially the beds) and had everything we could possibly need and more! The hosts who live next door were very friendly and communication was great, answering all our questions quickly and providing lots of local information. They left lots of lovely little extras such as milk, bread, butter and some treats too which were very much appreciated!The property is in a nice quiet location and convenient for exploring Somerset. We appreciated that around the property was secure with gates and an enclosed decking area, so letting the children out to play was safe. The use of the host's electric vehicle charger was also extremely useful for us as it saved us the hassle of finding an available charger elsewhere.overall we had a wonderful holiday here and certainly would not hesitate to return.

This beautiful little cottage was the perfect respite for our week of exploring the local area with our Son's. It was a short drive to the bustle of WSM and easy to get around to places like Cheddar Gorge and the Wookey hole. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The garden was a dream view and we really appreciated being able to sit in it of an evening, after a busy day out and about it was pure bliss to come home to.Paul and Jill were so very welcoming and kind and we really appreciated your thoughtful touches for our arrival and all your advice and help whenever we had questions during our stay. This was our first time using VRBO and I think it will be extremely hard to top this place. Thank you both (and Ernie too) so much for a beautiful and memorable trip.

We had a fantastic stay! Paul’s property is fresh and modern and beautifully maintained. Paul is an outstanding host, very responsive, welcoming, kind and helpful, especially in response to my questions re disability access. We loved how private the property location was and the beautiful view from the terrace! The beds are really comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We also appreciated arriving to bread, butter, milk and cake! This was a nice touch! We will definitely look to return if we find ourselves heading to the Mendips again!

All we could have wished for and more

We have been visiting family in Uphill, Weston-super-Mare for over 25 years and never stayed in such fantastic accommodation.Modern, clean beautifully furnished with everything you need.Tucked away with beautiful views and surrounded by nature.The hosts are on site, really friendly and helpful and made us feel so so welcome.Lovely terrace to watch the sunset. Lots to do locally and wonderful to return to after busy family outings.

A fantastic place to stay

There is nothing to fault. The property is modern, spotlessly clean and well furnished to a high standard, with excellent views. There are some very pleasant small details on arrival (a loaf of bread, cake, butter, milk, tea, coffee and a selection of biscuits and jams). Paul and Jill are delightful and amusing hosts, who went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We will definitely return when we are next in the area.

Out standing

We have just had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Paul and he’s wife were very accommodating to all the needs that a guest or guests may need while staying. It is very spacious and so incredibly clean. It is beautifully decorated and very well presented with beautiful accessories. We all slept very comfortably. We would highly recommend for those who like to walk or even just to chill has the views are stunning, western has lots to offer!

You couldn't ask for a better host, the bungalow was of a very high quality. Tea, coffee, milk, bread, sugar, jams and cheese was complimentary on arrival. Host even gave us a lift into Weston-super-Mare for our night out and then insisted on picking us up (very late in the evening), thank you for everything Paul. See you next year!

Lovely Family Stay

We had a great few days here, with our young kids loving the space as much as we did. The place is clean, as advertised and if anything even better than the photos shown here. Hosts were lovely, available for anything we needed but also giving us space to enjoy. Would definitely book again.

Can’t wait to go again fantastic place to stay

What can I say about the most amazing property to stay at new year. Catered for everything, even had a Xmas tree. Had fizzy wine, butter, biscuits, bread, jams. Even had a tour by the owner to where to sit on New Year’s Eve on the hillside over looking western. Shame it was only 2 days.

Perfect!

The property was spotless, felt like new and was beautifully furnished. The host had helpfully left milk, bread, butter and cakes which was lovely. He offered early check in and popped by to ensure everything was okay - also let us charge the car which was much appreciated. Would happily stay again!

Lovely cottage and lovable hosts

What a lovely cottage. We arrived a bit later than expected but Paul and Jill were still waiting for us. A real warm welcome. The cottage is beautiful. Very clean and with everything you need. There was even some coffee, tea and biscuits. The beds and rain shower are really nice. The location of the cottage is perfect to visit Weston-super-mare. Or bath. It lies on a hill so the view is really nice. The old Inn in Hutton is a nice place to eat. We can recommend this cottage and its host!!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Ember Cottage. The place was beautifully furnished, modern and so well equipped. Perfect home

We couldnt have asked for anything better. The home was fantastic. Was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful location with lovely sunset views. A real gem of a property

We have throughly enjoyed our stay at Ember Cottage. It’s a real gem, beautiful inside and out, spotless and with lots of lovely homely touches. Jill & Paul were perfect hosts. It’s in a perfect location for Weston-super-mare and Clevedon, an hour from Bath and Cheddar. It’s close to the M5 so a nice easy journey down and an ideal place to stop off for a few days if travelling further to Cornwall. I would definitely recommend staying here and given a chance, I won’t hesitate to re-book.

We loved every moment of our stay here, from the friendly welcome from Paul and Jill to the little home comforts and warm cosy beds! The accommodation had everything we needed, and more, for a few days away. The kitchen was filled with everything needed to enable us to self-cater.
